  • The company I work for is super anal about it. If you abuse the company card, it’s taken away at the corporate level. That person and their boss are left deciding how to handle it.

I’ve seen it end in termination for a sale guy who got his card privileges revoked and then let go because he couldn’t travel to do his job. He likely had other issues though that lead up to it, but I don’t know much more than the CC story.

While true, you’d think with all the fancy algorithms social media tries to implement these days that it would use the general country and the default language as indicators. I guess that stuff only matters to them when they are feeding us ads.

  • As a Home Assistant geek, I would love to have a tablet built into the fridge door that I could 100% hack to display useful information and such. Currently I have an Android tablet on the wall that does this, but one on the door could be cool, especially if you could setup a place for virtual sticky notes that you could leave reminders and such for family members.

It’s not worth it for ad space though and I wouldn’t want it to be required for the fridge to operate either!

You aren’t wrong in that the democrats prefer the status quo but it’s far from both sides being the same. If we have to pick a side, and if we are still pro democracy, we do, there is only one correct choice.

Now if we can convince that side to then use the victory to change the rules, then so be it. For example, Ranked choice voting would be great, but let’s get more states to use it before expecting the highest office in the land to adopt it.
