Having moved onto the “trots” to avoid that marina vibe, sailors more generally and save £££s, I thought I better get some security deterence.
Bought myself one of these puppies for 50 English £s- So far so good and seems like money well spent.
Additionally, checking in every day has given me a huge confidence boost when it comes to mooring. The channel where the boat lives is a tough one to Moor in. Now I can learn about the tidal flow idiosyncrasies and it doesn’t seem as restrictive as I though it was going to be… Winning https://www.eufy.com/uk/products/t8134321?ref=navimenu_1_2_4_copy&fliter_category=outdoor-security-cameras&variant=42634649370817
Does this give you a live stream of your boat? And if so, how does it connect to the internet?
Hi, yes, directly to a phone/tablet app. On the boat I have a router thingy. The router is able to connect to the rest of the world via 4G data sim or WiFi so there’s a power usage to consider. But seems to use minimal data. Night vision is pretty good too. Eufy do a 4G version which, if memory serves is a bit more expensive. Pretty good quality image/video. Also able to communicate, take stills & video etc manually Here is an image of my setup
