Hiya It happened recently that when I turn on the ignition all the electronic systems warning lights goes off. LKAS, ABS, ACC, VS, EP etc but the car runs all right apart from the obvious - the electronic support systems not working. The errors stay on during the driving.

I surmised that its not each individual system failed on its own, it must some sort bad connection maybe?

I already checked the battery (ignition off, switching on and idling) and is perfectly healthy.

I tried unplugging the battery for about 30min - didn’t do a thing.

I’m getting an OBD scanner tomorrow so i will post here what it comes back with.

In the meantime - any ideas?

    Check fuses. If a significant one is blown, it could explain a cascade of errors.

    Also, bad grounds between the engine and chassis can cause weirdness. Honda uses a flat strap between the engine and body, if it’s corroded it can cause all sorts of weirdness.

      Thanks pal, already ordered a set of fuses and removal tweezers so i will get on that as soon as they arrive.

      Re the ground, looks all right - no corrosion.

        Verify the small ground wire coming from the battery terminal to the body too.

        Give them both a firm tug/wiggle - sometimes you can feel weakness in them when it’s not visible.

        Definitely a weird problem to have all that lightup at once. It’s gotta be something up the chain, and all the rest are freaking out because of that one thing.

        Edit: most local parts houses will pull codes for free. And everyone should have the cheap $10 Bluetooth code reader and the Torque app. I have one reader in the glove box of every car.

    That would initially be my first guess yeah, either a bad connection, or perhaps a shorted connection somewhere.

    Though it could be any one of a myriad of sensors taking down the entire data bus, which in more modern vehicles is typically a CAN bus…

    Yeah, the CAN bus definitely reduces the amount of wiring necessary, but also comes with the drawback where any one failed sensor can potentially take down the entire data bus. ☹️

    Without knowing much else yet, you might try one-by-one disconnecting different non-essential sensors and see if the overall main problem of all warnings goes away, that could help you try to narrow it down.
