There is a reason why standard suggestions like Bose QuietComfort Ultra and Sony WH-1000XM6 are standard suggestions, they are excellent.

    But there are alternatives:

    B&W PX7 S3 - Excellent sound and ANC
    Focal Bathys - Excellent sound
    Dali IO-8 - Excellent sound

After reading several lists of the best ANC headphones, I have seen that the Sony WH-1000XM6 seems to be the top pick in general, The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are not mentioned as much, and the others are different top picks about sound quality in the lists.

The Sony XM4/XM5/XM6, Sennheiser Momentum 4, and Bose qc35/qc45 are all good options. If your phone supports LDAC then go with the Sonys, it’s higher quality streaming than aac or aptX.

You’re stuck with aac then. Any of those options will work well, the real test will be how they fit.

I got the Sennheisser Momentum 4 and couldn’t be happier with them. The ANC is great, and they are very comfortable to wear all day long. The battery life is also just incredible. They really do last 60 hours, if not more. Oh, and they sound great.

If you want the best audio quality for music, you need the Shure Aonic 50.

I tried and returned a couple others before finding those.

Bose is absolute shit and anyone who tells you otherwise doesn’t know what music sounds like.
