Hey,
I’ve been using Bazzite for the most time of the year and I am having some stability issues that seem to be connected to KDE Plasma.
On the one hand side KDEs “start menu” (what’s it called anyway when not on Windows?) stops working from time to time and doesn’t open on click. On the other hand side Plasma Shell occasionally doesn’t start correctly resulting in no desktop whatsoever (I can open a terminal with Alt+F2 though) and forcing me to reboot (it may be enough to systemctl restart --user plasma-plasmashell.service but I didn’t try this yet)
Long story short: I thought I’d do some trial and error and use Gnome for some time. Turns out switching Desktop Environments on a whim is not compatible with Bazzites immutable design philosophy…
Do you have any ideas apart from completely re-installing?
I second the recommendation to check for other issues first. I’m running KDE for ages now, and in my experience, it has been remarkably stable.
The literal first thing it says in a big warning box is that rebasing DE isn’t supported…

on KDE it’s just called the Application Launcher.

like the other person suggested, I would check the logs. there’s probably something in there to give you a hint, because in general KDE is very stable and you shouldn’t be experiencing this if everything was nominal.
