From Germany, released in 2024, we have this stoner/doom band with fem vocals and it comes together nicely, creating a nice dreamscape dripping with beautiful atmosphere which is crisp and hazy all at the same time. I’ve noticed a shit load of female-fronted stoner bands recently, and I wonder if that’s some sort of trend? It’s not exactly recent, but it seems to be picking up in popularity; I don’t have data to back this up, but my vibes tell me so lol.
I’ve noticed the uptick in fem-vocals too. Although I’m not gonna complain, I kinda like it aesthetically for stoner/doom/psych end of the metal spectrum.
I have seen them live last Saturday. It was good and quite immersive. The are nice guys, too. Strong Acid King vibes. Bought a shirt and a record.
Oh that’s awesome! They released a new single that’s pretty good called Closer, did they happen to play that among their set?
I honestly couldn’t say, because I had seen them for the first time and did not know them before.
