Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same. Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.
It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!
Curious, does caffeine fit in here? I’m about 4 weeks caffeine/soft drink “sober”, which I’m personally a little proud of.
Ironically, I’m doing it because my doctor suggested that I might have fatty liver disease, which is historically linked to alcoholism.
The board is about not drinking alcohol. That said:
- 4 weeks without caffeine is a huge achievement and I couldn’t do it.
- There doesn’t seem to be a specific “caffeine free” board
- I’m not going to pop round your house to make sure that when you make the IWNDWYT pledge you’re not sneaking a C in there to make it I Will Not Drink Caffeine With You Today.

I will not drink ALCOHOL with you today. I’ve ingested about 50oz of caffeine already. :(
