Hundreds gathered on Sunday to remember the three victims of a racist shooting in the Florida city.
“What he did is totally unacceptable in the state of Florida,” Mr DeSantis said. “We are not going to let people be targeted based on their race.”
Mr. DeSantis followed these statements with no plan to prevent similar attacks, and a vow to stridently oppose any measures intended to reduce gun violence.
