Democratic operatives loooove the ‘Texas is turning blue’ canard and have been parroting it for decades. Meanwhile the only thing Texas has turned blue is everyones balls.
It’s genuinely a consultant play, because funneling money into Texas races means big ad buys in mass media markets, and consultants make a shit ton of money in doing so.
Maybeee this time is different but no one should be holding their breath or planning some kind of 2028 plan around Texas going blue.
Yeah the Democratic primary polling is pretty bonkers. The polling for the general has it potentially being closer than Beto vs Cruz was, though.

It’s honestly a little crazy to see Hunt polling better against both Talarico and Crockett in the general when he’s polling so low in the primary.
I wouldn’t consider any polling on general performance at this point. Way too hypothetical/far out.
