Bandananaanto Ask Lemmy•What is one show you wish wouldn't have gotten cancelled when it did?3·2 years agoStargate Universe. It was Stargate meets Battlestar Galactica and I loved it. It wasn’t without its issues, but I felt it was really finding it’s feet. Then it ends on a cliffhanger after 2 seasons
Just do what I did in school and put an earphone down your sleeve. Rest head on hand. Listen to music. It’s not difficult, I got away with it in exams ffs (I dont recommend that last bit btw, that was young stupidity in hindsight)
Bandananaanto Cars - For Car Enthusiasts•What driving concept you feel that most drivers don't understand?English2·2 years agoSay in your head “Only a fool, breaks the two second rule”. Takes about two seconds to say
Bandananaanto Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•Climate activists target jets, yachts and golf in a string of global protests against luxury1·2 years agoAnd if you’re child/significant other died as a direct result of someone glueing themselves to a road, would you genuinely be ok with that? Would that be a worthwhile loss of life for the cause? Because somehow, I find that incredibly hard to believe.
Bandananaanto Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•Climate activists target jets, yachts and golf in a string of global protests against luxury3·2 years agoI’m not sure why you’re being downvoted so much either tbh. I completely support protest, but let’s not fuck up everyone’s day and potentially kill people for it. Yes, climate change is a genuine threat, but don’t risk the people’s lives.
If people want to protest, do it in the middle of a city, do it outside a government building etc. There are ways to inconvenience people and get your message across without risking life

Bandananaanto News•3M Nears Settlement for About $5.5 Billion to Resolve Earplugs Complaints272·2 years agoWhat?
Blocking roads can literally kill people, by stopping emergency vehicles etc from getting to where they need to go
I’m still unsure what it even means. Based in what? Reality, fantasy? It’s clearly a US thing and often seems associated with the more right wing

Bandananaanto Games@sh.itjust.works•'Baldur's Gate 3' Is a Staggering Success and a Once in a Decade RPGEnglish2·2 years agoI tried playing bg 1 and 2 about 10 years ago. I put about 40 hours in between them and enjoyed it, but I found it tough going. I’ve found bg3 way easier to get into and have already far surpassed the hours I put into the original games. On top of what I’ve already mentioned, the change to fully turn based is a huge improvement on that weird pausable real time used in the previous games
Bandananaanto Games@sh.itjust.works•'Baldur's Gate 3' Is a Staggering Success and a Once in a Decade RPGEnglish4·2 years agoI think bg3 is also a lot easier to get into than dos 1 and 2. Having actual cut scenes and voice acting for everything goes a long way in making the game immersive. I also feel its easier to get into the combat (though that may just be me having got used to dos beforehand)
Bandananaanto Games•‘Baldur’s Gate 3’ Prepared for 100k Concurrent Players, They’ve Gotten 700KEnglish5·2 years agoI spent some time playing 4p at the weekend. Personally, I loved it. It definitely had the feel of a ttrpg session. Your experience will completely come down to who you are playing with

Aside from the writing style, it’s much more cinematic than the div games. I’m finding it a lot easier to get sucked into the story
I’m in exactly the same position. Can’t see me ever finishing it now sadly, but what an experience!
Personally, my least favourite gta. Liked the writing and the characters, but for me, it just didn’t feel fun to play. A good example of this being the driving. Sure, it was more realistic, but it wasn’t enjoyable
Bandananaanto Ask Lemmy•Opinions: What is a movie you genuinely like, that is rated below 60% on rotten tomatoes?3·2 years agoI’m genuinely shocked. It’s a great film that perfectly captures the feel of the book
They have done this at motorsport events… Putting their lives, the competitors lives and the marshals lives at risk. It’s idiotic
