

Every form of local government is NIMBY as a default position as far as I can tell. Why else would they exist.
I can see her point that we have tens of thousands of acres of industrial unit rooftops, sports halls, schools etc. that could provide energy closer to where it is actually needed.
As a country we haven’t really embraced decentralised solar energy but there are fortunately some initiatives like plug in solar that might help consumers but we really need to see structural changes for medium scale adoption.
