Yeah, that’s a huge deal breaker for me. Even if I wanted to spend Jeep prices, I want to get 15 years out of a car. My 2008 G6 made it to 16 years. And the parts were crazy cheap. It’s the gold standard I measure my cars to now. My car is basically just for commuting to work. No frills necessary, just good gas mileage and cheap repairs.

  • Whenever I play Fallout as myself, my characters always end up super evil. What does that say about me? Ive been doing a playthrough of New Vegas recently consciously trying to make all good choices. I’m getting dialog I’ve never seen before. It’s like playing a whole new game. It’s wild. Sometimes, I have to quicksave and wipe out an entire casino, eating every corpse, and meticulously making a pile of dismembered torsos to make a bonfire. But after a couple of hours, I load back and continue being good.

The one evil choice I did keep is trading Cass for the kidnapped son at the Ultra Luxe… whoops. Yeah, I’m still a cannibal. But it’s really more of a practicality than a moral issue. If it was that bad, you’d lose more karma for it!

Ah, I must have missed those. Yeah, Real Monsters was a fun one. I really liked that one as a kid. Tried to revisit recently with my kid, and it didn’t hit the same. Then again, neither does Rocko or Ren and Stimpy. Guess I have to chalk it up to getting old or maturing or something. I still classify them as “good” shows, rating them through the lens of youth. Still love Rugrats. My wife and I watched the whole series together before we even had a kid.

  • Yes, agreed. Why is this even in shitpost? I wonder if h0rni has ever tried a percolator. I don’t mind it while I’m camping, but when I’m home I prefer a Moka pot. I also want strong, bitter coffee. I can’t stand instant, but sometimes I will add it to my wife’s weak-ass brew. I can see through hers! I should never be able to see through my coffee.

A couple years ago, I got the French press kit for my Firemaple X1 to take camping. It’s super light and breaks down flat. The kit, not the X1 itself. But it’s so much more work to clean than a percolator! The grounds stick to the rough texture of the titanium walls, and I typically end up dribbling it over the edge and down the outside when I pour. That stains the neoprene sleeve and I have to then wash that. I’m thinking about going back to a percolator for camping, but that is so much extra room I’m already used to not needing to account for.

I suppose I could just bring my 2-cup Moka pot, that would be the happy medium. It’s smaller than a percolator, and easier to clean than the French press. The issue there is that if I’m not solo camping, I typically share the coffee. And nobody I go with likes the Moka pot.

    Tell me about your coffee!
