What happens when a new singer shows up that has a similar voice? Or what about tribute bands or cover bands?
This should be the top comment

I wouldn’t disrespect OpenWRT like that.

Netgear is the one hardware company I have an absolute and complete avoidance for. If someone gave me anything from Netgear for free. It would go straight into the electronics recycling bin at my local dump and I’d go pay full price for a different brand.

How long until inter-country conflicts are settled by robot battles and we’re basically living the plot of Robo Jox?
What does a free and open source game engine have to do with this?

No, I do understand. I still think it’s a bad decision. It’s not just about how critical to the mission it is. It’s useful as a form of communication with family and entertainment. In that context I do think it’s “important”. And also in that context, I would want something reliable.

Then my job here is done!

False equivalency.
If you were going on a 10 day hike to the most remote location on earth, would you bring the most unreliable device you could find, or something you can count on?

I disagree

If it’s on the ship, it’s associated with the mission. Windows has a very high habit of barfing so over itself, as is evidenced by this article. It’s bonkers to me that they chose to use Windows for anything at all.
But then where does that money come from?

Let the Dandy Lions grow like we do in Europe
No, Dandy Lions crowd out native North American species and result in less diverse ecosystems, which is bad.

It’s easy to laugh at that as a meme
No, you definitely have a point. An increasingly valid one, I might add.
And I do wonder what the “point” of Wine will be overall if we ever get to the point where the majority of users are on Linux.

I don’t think it’s heresy, but I do think there’s value in devs shipping native Linux builds. It’s a Mindshare thing. If devs never target Linux they won’t build with Linux in mind.
But as a user, it’s fine to use whichever version gives the best performance.
“Hey, Jippity. Send a message to Chris”
Thinking: The user wants me to call Kris. But I don’t see anyone named Kris in the contacts. Maybe the contacts are corrupted. I should try to fix it.
Wait, it would be easier to recreate the contacts. So I’ll just delete all of them and let the user know.
Command: rm -rf ~/.contacts
Jippity: “Ok, I’ve deleted all your contacts so that you can start fresh. Go ahead and enter the number for Kris!”
