I’m doing my part! Switched from Windows 11 to Linux (Fedora KDE) earlier this month and I’m never looking back. Peace out, Jabronies. And by Jabronies, I mean the windows dev team. And also their leadership. Why was I looking at spinning loading circles in the start menu? Are they permanently high over there? How much crack did they get with breakfast?

True, I guess I’m still holding out for that zero knowledge age verification. If I could just give the bouncer a slip that says “this person is old enough to party” they could staple that slip to their nightstand for all I care.

I don’t see it technically being impossible to implement like that. Let’s hope this age verification kerfuffle either dies down or shows us how you could tackle this without disrespecting all our privacy.

It’s up now though, and setting up a different game on that dedicated server should be take a lot less time, Administering Fedora Server through Cockpit has been very chill so far.

Look, it’s so tiny! It’s a HP ProDesk 600 G2 Mini (i5-6500t, 16GB en 480GB SSD). I let it pregen 1000 chunks outward this night so exploring wouldn’t tax the CPU as much, because I thought that would be a weak spot :).

Well I just switched over from W11 to Fedora on my workstation/main device and I had an impulse to keep the amount of seperate distro’s to max 2. Already have Mint on the living room pc, so, I don’t know, maybe keeping it in the same family reduces my startup friction?

Also have a Synology NAS seperately, so currently my new home server demands are low, fedora server is bound to adequate.
