  • I am so angry with Epson that I am replying to this post two years later… Fuck Epson. Epson is a shit company just like all the rest.

Use your favorite search engine to look up “Epson e-ll error”. The short TLDR story is: Epson “Eco Tank” printers brick after a certain number of prints. The excuse is that you have to replace ink pads that collect excess spilled ink. Even if you replace “ink pads” Epson still wants you to send in your printer for a simple software reset. Fuck them and all the shady 3rd party fucks who will reset your Waste Ink Counter with a WIC utility.

Search long enough and you will find the free tool that prevents planned obsolescence.

This script was used to fix an Epson ET-2550. Either way I’m never buying a fucking Epson again.

  • Thank you for the respectful explanation even though you have other opinions.

I admit that the text is lacking in a detailed explanation. This comment was kind of a throwaway comment at the time, but there are certain aspects of these tariff actions that point to a reality.

    • Economists believe that these actions will have a detrimental effect on the US economy (All three North American Economies).
    • The administration is shutting down government services.
    • These services are necessary.
    • (This is where a possible “theory” may come in) The private sector will say they have come to “save” us and “bail out” these failing services. For example, educational institutions. Will they become privately run by Google ED, High School by Meta or some other company? Yes, This is definitely speculation but also not that far out to be tinfoil hat level.

We should recognize the importance of accessible public education because…if a fucking nutsack, dipshit can’t read well enough to understand a throw away, 10 year old+ meme then we are already fucked.

  • I wish this comment (merc’s comment) would get bumped to the top of every post related to the tariffs. Tit for tat tariffs is stupid with predictable results. Strategic tariffs and other targeted mean of retaliation are better. Why is there only a 10% tariff on oil? Because the US needs Canada’s oil. You fuck with our economy we fuck with the resources we give you at a discounted rate. Look at CUSMA (hehe. or NAFTA or whatever broken trade agreement that was) and target the industries that the (US) wanted to protect.

And for people using the tired fight analogies - just because someone tries to punch you in the face doesn’t mean you punch them back in the face. You have already been training to kick them in the fucking balls.

Tit for tat tariffs is just political posturing for weak leadership.
