I don’t know to what extent this just me noticing this more, but is there a significant rise in pro-socialism and pro-communism content over the past few years in direct response to the increasingly obvious failures of the capitalist system?

ImWaitingForRetconsto Science Memes@mander.xyz•Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal - UnifiedEnglish13·5 天前I take umbrage with the idea that gravity is necessarily quantisable- for all we know, it can’t be quantised.
You’re absolutely right, I completely missed the part where he began screaming 😅
In another time, I would shit all over the neighbor, but considering the times, I don’t blame him at all…
Edit: My bad, I missed the part where he began screaming
ImWaitingForRetconsto A Boring Dystopia•‘My buyer’s guilt is insane. It’s $1,300 on trash’: the adults addicted to blind box toys like Labubus252·8 天前There’s also a significant portion of people who are spending money on things like Labubus and other luxuries because they have no optimism for the future, and would rather just spend their money on having fun instead of saving up for retirement or a home.
The podcast Let’s Learn Everything did an episode on this- the answer is that most fields of study under biology have different definitions based on their needs - there’s about 20 or so definitions in use currently.
*you leave grandpa and grandma out of this!
You can’t use the acts as evidence for this, since they’re internally inconsistent versus the other gospels and the Pauline epistles. Current scholarship clearly puts the blame on the Romans. This is backed up by Pontius Pilate being well known for being a brutal ruler, and not one who cared much for Jewish sensibilities.

The policies are just a smokescreen. It’s always been a personality cult.
I just watched an episode of Lingthusiam about Phatic expressions yesterday- very interesting.
This is almost certainly not true. There is no way Romance would cede such an important aspect of governance to the Jews, not to mention most scholarship having converged on the idea that Jesus was killed by the Romans for changing their sovereignty (claiming to be the King of the Jews).
There’s at least a few missing items here, probably because they’re conglomerates and have lots of affiliates, rather than being one company.
ImWaitingForRetconsto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you found someone attractive, would you date them if you found out they were trans?5·13 天前Absolutely, there’s a lot more to it than just the genitals, but to be fair, everyone has a large number of differences from the mean- I’ve met bio women with very deep voices, with unflattering figures, who’ve experienced misogyny, etc.
Apart from the genitals, everything a trans person had that might differentiate them from a cis person can still be present in a cis person.
ImWaitingForRetconsto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you found someone attractive, would you date them if you found out they were trans?4·13 天前Yes. Penis or vagina matters little to me.
ImWaitingForRetconsto World News•Backing away from Russia, Trump says Ukraine should win back its land and NATO allies should shoot down incursionsEnglish50·13 天前The problem with this? He changed his mind once, he can change it again. Nobody, especially not Ukraine and other former Soviet states, should rely on Trump.
ImWaitingForRetconsto Not The Onion•Trump tells UN in speech that it is 'not even coming close to living up' to its potentialEnglish10·13 天前Yeah, because of the veto that US, China and Russia use very liberally.
We actually don’t know if distance is quantised- while distances smaller than the Planck length don’t make any sense with our current understanding of physics, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the quantum of distance.
