Yeah my schools had the same zero tolerance policy when I was a child. Say an 80s level sociopathic bully beats up a much younger kid, both would get suspended. That way the school can’t discriminate against a child if they discriminate against every child. The school did something and it can’t possibly be discrimination, doesn’t matter that it makes school worse for every kid, the school board covered their ass.

  • Because if they don’t he’ll sue them for being very unfair, and then he’ll get the stadium named after him and a $300 million dollar cheque. He owns the judicial branch and unlike every other president before him he is willing to use it as a tool for his petty revenge. Turns out that every other president actually believed in a higher power then themselves, be it God or country. Donald doesn’t believe in anything.

  • There may be some rose tinted glasses there bud. 2009 was also the peak year for people losing their homes and unemployment from the 2008 financial crisis. The wars in the middle east were in full swing. Plus way more people who thought the world would end in 2012 than you would think which was so annoying.

You’re right but you’re ignoring everything the other person said. Go back 25+ years and there was a mono-pop-culture. You’d go to work after the latest episode of Twin Peaks and just discussed it. Those conversations weren’t preface with “Spoiler warning.” Either you saw it or yo didn’t. It was a cultural touch stone that most people would at the very least know of, but probably was as engaged with as you were.

Sure, Japanese people weren’t watching the same thing as Americans, or South Afrikans and The Brits weren’t consuming the same things. It was still a lot more homogeneous culture back then. Not saying now is better than then or anything, just that it was very different.

My dude he’s the mayor of New York, that’s literally his job. The mayor of New York is a lightning rod for all the frustration people experience living in the city. Mandani just took the most hated job in the world, sure he can do some good for the city. He’s still going to be hated for it. That’s just New York.
