The data and connections were what’s important, algorithms need data, and that was as true back then as it is now.

Nalivaito The Democratic National Convention™ of Libjerk@anarchist.nexus•This is peak Liberalism21·1 day agoYeah, pales in comparison with all the meaningful action we’re doing here.
For examle, Russia spends enormous amount of money on foreign propaganda, both internaly and externally. That money.

Americans, you see, are voting based on economical policies rooted in reality.

You know exactly what I’m talking about, don’t be all shy about it now
At this point, a candidate that doesn’t actively violates the law to install blatantly fascistic government is about as swell as it can go. I’ll take “debates about rights of trans people in sports” or whatever the issue was, over every minority including trans people being hunted on the streets by the gangs of masked people with absolute authority.
Just like all the choice in America, it’s a choice between a bad situation and a literal hell with torture and eternal flames.
Seeing what Trumpism is doing to America and sitting here being all choosy about the alternative is basically what lead y’all here in the first place. When you will be thrown to a concentration camp for a thought crime, the thought that the opposition wasn’t all that perfect either will not help you in the slightest. It doesn’t help all the millions of people who’s lives are being upended because Americans weren’t that engaged about the democratic message.
Those are the photos of people in the political rallies, just to be sure. About the only place where wearing political merch is appropriate. Or do you think people who walk in parades are wearing that in real life? Have you ever been outside?
Oh, so now you decided to believe him for some reason? In this case I have a underground bridge to sell you.
That’s how democracy in US works. It’s a bit of a shitty democracy for historical reasons, but everyone knew that before the election, it’s not a secret. That’s not even the biggest problem with it. It is a democracy nonetheless.

You are discounting the taco factor. Everyone knows taco.
Don’t forget to purity check today! If you didn’t purity check, how can you be sure that only pure of heart and wholesome on all sides people will help you fight fascism. You don’t want unclean allies, don’t you?
We will smugly decry that nothing can be done, and continue sharing memes about death of direct action
Oh no, the president is fash, we elected him democratically. Time to give up without doing anything I guess, there is no way to elect anyone democratically.

Thanks for the grasroots money, this small group is actually very loud. The loudest of them all. They maintain the illusion that communism is when you like Russia, and that’s their entire purpose
Purity check is way more important than building the better world. Building the better world is hard, hating libs for not being your flavour of socialism is easy, satisfying, and makes you look cool to your peers (until you slip up and now you’re the lib)
Nalivaito News•Trump floats pulling licenses if networks are 'against' him after Jimmy Kimmel suspended381·3 days agoJust watch how 51% of voters will vote for him again, because the opposing party’s candidate isn’t a saint actually and might have some flaws.
Hahaha, who am I kidding, there will be no next free election, nobody will need to vote anymore.
No, no it isn’t, I don’t even know what you might mean by that.
The democracy in America implemented a bit shitty. It’s a forced two party system, not everyone’s vote has the same power, the casting of the vote is convoluted for no reason. It’s not the best way to implement a democracy, no doubts about it. Not the worst though, the first democracy ever was only available to land owning males, so compared to that the current American is outright inclusive.
But it’s not some kind of new system, it was around longer than all of the voters were alive, so everyone should know how it works and how to use it. All Americans participated and made the choice. Using action or inaction, collectively, democratically, they elected Trump.
