Toys “R” Us filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017 and by 2018, the toy retailer announced the closure of more than 700 stores throughout the U.S. Over the years, Toys “R” Us attempted comebacks under new ownership but none have proven successful. Most recently, the retailer opened a flagship location in Minnesota’s Mall of America in 2023, which remains open.

SitusAMC said in a statement, opens new tab on its website on Saturday that it had been the subject of a cyberattack on November 12, compromising certain information from its systems and that “data relating to some of our clients’ customers may also have been impacted.”
On Nov. 7, Superintendent Christian Elkington acknowledged a “challenging week” for the community, and reaffirmed the district’s commitment to providing students and their families with a “safe and inclusive learning environment.”

High Point police said that before the shooting, one man got into an argument over a turkey with a Food Lion employee. During that argument, another man reportedly stepped in and started to argue with the first man.
Following the argument, one of the men – it was unclear which – walked outside to get a gun. When he did, the other man also went out of the store. Police said that once outside, the two men shot at each other and one was hit in the arm.
