Puppy dog eyes won out and we went for a walk. It was as cold and windy as expected, but fortunately we managed to avoid being rained on. Miss Meow now has me pinned down on the couch to make sure I don’t try to leave again.

Sleep has been acquired and My Hello Fresh box is inside. Mr Woof thinks that means it’s walk time, but the weather is miserable out there. Cold, windy and likely rain coming. I am not feeling enthused.

The spin dry is a really big one - one of my criteria when I bought my washing machine was that it have a very fast spin cycle to get more water out.

I’ve just made someone delete their entire Reddit account, got someone else to delete a post and leave a Facebook group, and gotten into some pointless arguments with people over what day chores are done and been downvoted for saying sourdough is sour. It’s wild out there.

There is. It can end up like poking a loose tooth though, you just can’t stop yourself. It feels like you are so close to understanding that just one more snippet of information will bring illumination, but it just keeps failing to happen.

I have found myself in a Reddit disagreement where I cannot at all follow the logic of the other parties. I expect they would say the same about what I am saying. It feels a bit like trying to debate a flat earther, there appears to be some sort of fundamental disagreement about the rules of the universe. It makes my brain hurt.

I am guessing the tax return was filed before the notice of intent to claim the super was done. You can’t claim Super as a deduction on your tax return until the Super fund has taken out the 15% tax and processed it as a concessional contribution.

I have a bit of a hybrid situation. I mostly have to keep an eye on the weather, but have room under cover for a clothes airer to do a small amount. But if it’s too windy/rainy the rain comes in sideways, and there is not enough room for sheets and things.

I am liking being able to line dry outside though, where I was didn’t really have any good drying space and I would dry it indoors on airers. It just smells better when it’s been outside, the movement from the wind makes the towels softer, and the wind also carries away more of the dog hair and fluff etc. so I think it ends up cleaner. I’ve contemplated getting a dryer, but I think I’d prefer to stick to line drying if I can keep managing it.

I just received my final electricity bill for the old house. Due to a combination of set monthly payments and the govt. contributions I am well ahead on my payments so will be getting nearly $300 returned to me. 😀

Edit: I’ve also just realised I got the govt. relief payment twice. It’s paid per household not per person, and I had power on at both properties with an overlap of about a month. The timing was just right for me to get the payment for both. I thought I’d lost money by being lazy/distracted and not cancelling the power at the old place earlier, turns out it was a good thing!
