I work in a very male dominated office and profession. We have a young lady who occasionally gets things mansplained to her and she will use the loudest “Janice from Friends” type of nasally “Woooooooooow” over and over disrupting his explanation until he just turns and walks away.
All the guys on our team love it and find it hilarious. We also find ways to slip in our own “Woooooooooow” when talking to that guy over a few days just to drive the point home.
I only have lemmy and mastodon. I kept my reddit account for about a year and had to delete my post and reply history three times before it finally disappeared. I then promptly deleted my account. Deleted MySpace around 2010 for fb, fb around 2015 when I went to reddit, then reddit after threatening public ipo.
Wait… Fox is still on the air? I thought they just transitioned to cabinet positions and closed the doors before the voting machine lawsuits paid out.

No, unfortunately just the ones that I know. Everyone had signs in their yard and kept playing that annoying song over and over up to the election. As much as I tried to convince them that they weren’t special, they loved to point out how Trump was only going to deport the criminals and the “illegals”. And yet, here we are.

Recruiters prey on small towns with no opportunities and people have been raised with the rural conservative values. It’s hard to beat that out of people, even when they’re exposed to more worldly things. When they return to the shit hole conservative towns they were raised in post enlistment, they are again surrounded by people who believe that way.

I’d seen it before, but this was the first time I actually saw a source. Just figured I’d share the info so people would at least know what the media was talking about during an interviews and not be taken by surprise or say something reactionary. Better to have the info and not need it than to need it and not have it.
