There’s a version of the bible they’ve been pushing that adds some “truth” to these nasty attitudes. And people love to shove it in your face “see!?! It’s printed here, it has to be true!!!”

Took a sec, but I was laughing at the well placed lights and I started to wonder if it now includes urine as an ingredient. I mean, at this point in capitalism, it’s only a matter of time… and the people will love it because some influencer said so.

Yeah. Dealing with this as we speak. I’m friendly, get the job done, money where my mouth is “work ethic”. I’m not an asshole. But I did get hired for my role over an internal employee. An employee with sway, and has actively used that sway to secretly disparage me and the work I was doing. If he likes you, golden. Promotions, new friends groups, the works. But if he doesn’t, you’re done.

He’s managed to get me fired (next Monday) and yesterday came out gloating on a call with just me to let me know. This truth being verified by a 2 week payslip direct deposit pending on Monday (payday was today). My “crime”? Getting the work done he felt wasn’t “the right work”. He said, “I could have forgiven you taking my job I wanted, but you chose to ignore my project work I wanted done and implement things we don’t need (with list)”. I was hired to do just that, but I guess it wasn’t enough or the right thing. I’ll find out “why” (or how) I’m being fired Monday.

Politics is insane in enterprise. They’ll spend millions on consultants to get work done. One person with power can sabotage another out of pure spite. They have no interest in progress, they just want the status quo where they’re on top. Or an employee who just wants to get the work done without more effort to do it right.

On more positive news, I was already interviewing elsewhere. Final interviews today on one. Next place I’ll just play the game better.

I think the hardest truth I just learned is that it’s been 31 years since highschool.

I know I’m a day late here replying but this narrative is just antiquated like our entire system. If we want to keep at this, we don’t need her after a stint in the Senate, we need her now. What exactly will she gain by going that route? Because it’s the best way to gain respect? Maybe she’ll get some experience?

Look, statistically you are right. But let’s run the facts, normal is just a setting on the dryer and we’re not playing by the standard rulebook anymore.

You’ve clearly haven’t dealt with someone with dementia. That old man up there likely can’t remember what he had for breakfast, let alone the fact he had just spewed hate and violence in an effort to keep us distracted from asking for the Epstein files.

It’s the developer way. Being in office means that the team will never live with the consequences of their shit code. They’ll never fix the 10 things that annoy people every day because they don’t use it. But hey, at least they can all go to lunch together.

Oh, you have no idea. If you don’t have a job (or 5), then you’re going to prison for being a vagrant. Or they do some dystopian shit where you are in the equivalent work labor camp, where you are provided basic life necessities in exchange for paying off your debt by working based on your skills. No skills? Manual labor in farms or construction.

People really have no idea what we’re complacently walking into. If you’re not rich, and I mean a few million american dollarooos or trump bucks… say next 10 years…? You’re fucked.

We’d let it run for a few minutes before we drank from it cause Tommy thought it was funny to pee in the hose for some reason. Looking back, he wasn’t all that smart and I’m not sure we were the either cause we knew but figured ”let it run for 5 min first” was enough.

Don’t talk to the cops. Say you want a lawyer and will remain silent. They are not your friend. They have zero interest in “your side” of the story and only wish to gather info to arrest you. Once you’re arrested you are someone else’s problem and they don’t care.
