  • Though i’m the very tail end of genX and a “computer expert”, I pretty much think that the millennial generation being the only generation was all part of a solid de-education plan. At the rate we’re going Its only a matter of time where the tech we have today is forced to be only approved OS, controlled, monitored and IT capable people who know how to bypass will be arrested for violating the law.

The water is starting to get warm…

  • Just had a conversation with someone on this last weekend. They’re what I call someone dependent on corporate daycare. They need to be working or they lack self value. Their boss is an ass, hardly works and this guy thinks he’s slacking at 12 hours a day (exaggerated only a little).

What are you doing that is so important? Is it saving someone’s life? Life changing cancer drugs? No no, it’s a PowerPoint that shows the progress on the projects of equally less important tasks that is only making your boss look good.

And the fucker still thinks he’s not WORKING HARD ENOUGH!!

I have a sister like this, so i feel this lesson here is choose what you share. For me, tell her when you want people to know, but tell her its a secret so she stews on it then posts it to facebook for the world to see. I’ve been strategic about it, helps the process.

  • Takes picture of a parking lot in a state with one of the most bike and walking trails in the country, just blocks away from an outdoor pedestrian mall that is 1.5 miles long… You’re not winning the argument here and you’re not even proving a point.

Now if you want to prove a point then you take a picture of the plans we had for a high speed rail on i70 to the mountains that we decided to kill in favor of an paid express lane. Then you have an argument.

  • My actual reply to this nonsense that I’ve experienced before. Tell me what your startup does that benefits humanity. Other than making a few people rich, how does humanity benefit from this product. You want me to give up my life outside of work and I will, the moment you tell me this product will make humanity better.

I’m too tired of this bullshit. These people would rather just keep digging holes than determine the best way to build a house. If you’re ever in this situation, you dodged a bullet.

  • I had a coworker that called Farscape a show with adults in weird alien costumes and leather s&m outfits. He then proclaimed American football to be a superior form of entertainment because it showed men being men.

He wasn’t all that sharp, but it amazes me the interpretation people have of entertainment.

Most adults just call them ‘books’. But in case you want more, it’s a book with chapters like “Chapter 1 - in the beginning’ and so on. Very few pictures, lots of words. in the US, youth call them chapter books because it’s a moment of transition from reading short simple stories to books more than 100 pages long.
