The interview feels a bit odd (sometimes it seems like an actual “face to face” with follow-up questions but other times it asks questions she’s already answered…? Not to mention “VTubbing”), but Calli’s answers are still interesting so I thought it was worth to post anyway

I love these “humiliate yourself for in-game currency/favors” stuff that regularly happens in Gta, Minecraft or anywhere possible (and curiously Okayu seems to always be involved in some way, hmm…)

I personally didn’t find much for Fortune Spinner either except the shorts, but it’s odd that they didn’t even do that this time.

Wonder if they’ll keep the same format of “3 solos + 3 duets + some group songs” they did for that one? I personally thought it was a nice way to do a 3-mem concert.

Whew, that was more wholesome than I expected. It’s also one of the rare articles I see that focuses on smaller VTubers (even male ones!), and more about the medium as a whole rather than an individual’s successful career, that’s interesting (and hopefully informative for those who don’t know much about the subject?)

Umm, ackshually, Ami Yamato would technically be the first VTuber as she debuted 5 years earlier.

…but yeah, Kizuna Ai was the first one to popularize the term and approach a sort-of-mainstream popularity, I’m not blaming the article on a technicality. She has been “the first VTuber” for many, myself included, and for good reason.

That being said, she’s had a TON of issues around her brand, both before and during her hiatus, but it’s likely that none was directly her fault so I hope this time around the management team can avoid screwing up like they used to. We owe her what Vtubing is like today, and even beyond that, she’s always been a great entertainer. She deserves a good team and fans who support her.
