To clarify about 11pm, Cardiff City center has a vibrant nightlife and by 11pm, there will be many people who are very drunk as they need to get the last train home about then.
If you’re looking for fancy restaurants, look up ‘pasture’ and ‘six by neco’. Also Cardiff market has some surprisingly good food stalls, especially around the edges. If you’re here for a while, it would be worth popping on the train to Newport market as the food there is carrier and really nice.
Is also recommend seeing what is on at both the principality stadium and the millennium centre while you’re here as they’re both great venues.
