I really wonder if leftists really are this brainwashed to parrot such an obviously incorrect narrative. The answer is “yes, they are this brainwashed.”

The problem with that is that it’s so locked down now you need an account of X age with Y karma, so the majority of the site isn’t something you can participate in. And I get it, lots of spam accounts and whatnot, but still shitty that they’re a hair trigger away from destroying years worth of built up karma over nothing.

I only got a warning, they said if I did it again I could face a site-wide ban though. Pretty disturbing that they’re tracking upvotes to a post… they said I also upvoted a Luigi comment… but in both cases, they wouldn’t tell me specifically which post or comment triggered it.

It’s interesting that tens of millions of people know the truth of him being a radical far-left homicidal maniac, but the few thousand people here continue to circlejerk over lies. I really expected better from lemmy. Oh well, it is what it is.

I love how the obviously false narrative will continue to live on in left-wing echo chambers while the rest of the world and the courthouse and lawyers will all know the actual truth.

I think words are less damaging than bullets shot into someone’s body. If you are so fragile that words hurt you to the point of becoming a homicidal maniac, you should probably be checked into a behavioral health facility ASAP.

I don’t use facebook or social media (instagram, tiktok, shitter, whatever else.) The internet is a cesspool. I thought maybe I could find something reasonable here but it’s unhinged misinformation spammed everywhere as usual. I expected better from decentralization, so I’ll just have to start my own lemmy instance and invite more moderate less-extreme people in.

Soon after Charlie Kirk’s assassination, some on the political left quickly spread a baseless theory that the conservative podcaster was killed by a follower of the ultra-right-wing group called Groypers.

Authorities told Axios they believe Robinson’s romantic relationship with his transgender roommate could be key to determining a motive for Kirk’s killing, and that Robinson believed that the conservative was spreading transphobic hate.

Robinson “wasn’t too fond of Trump or Charlie [Kirk],” a former coworker of his told CNN.

Reality check: As noted by Time Magazine, those who have covered Fuentes downplayed connections between Robinson and the movement.

I don’t think reality is welcome on Lemmy at this point.

It sure does seem that way. They think they have carte blanche to murder or commit violence towards anybody they want, but they’ve awakened a quiet giant. This is not going to turn out how they want no matter how much misinformation and circlejerking they spread around here.

In 2023, the majority of U.S. gun deaths were suicides (58%) and homicides (38%).

That’s pretty wild. But with over 400,000,000 guns in the USA it’s not going to stop anybody.

Screenshots obtained by The New York Times paint a picture of zero remorse, just meme-fueled mockery as authorities scrambled in a manhunt. “Tyler killed Charlie!!!” one user tagged him hours after the shot; Robinson fired back, “My doppelganger’s trying to get me in trouble.” When someone quipped about snagging the FBI’s $100,000 reward, he shot back, “Only if I get a cut.” And in a sick twist, he joked about ditching a “manifesto and exact copy rifle” lying around— all while monitoring news coverage and mocking the engravings on his ammo that screamed ANTIFA ideology.

This is not a groyper, but again, the truth will continue to come to light. The FBI already found the copy rifle from other sources I’ve seen, but they have everything they need to prosecute.

Hilarious, this has now been proven false, the FBI is now about to contact the furry groups that were coordinating on discord. You should see the chat logs, multiple people knew about it about to happen and were cheering, but the truth will all come to light soon enough.

It amuses me how much misinformation is on lemmy, which is what this site’s members espouse to be against.
