  • I searched for my topics of interest and hobbies but barely got any hit.

Oh yeah, it is worth noting that Nebula doesn’t have as many options as in YouTube, I’m afraid. That is the limitation of platform. New content creators do come in to Nebula but not as often as it would be on YouTube.

Personally, I love nebula because it does have the topics I am interested in, which is mainly history, news, video games and politics. There are also long form video essays on variety of topics. I would say that Nebula is more like nerdy because of prevalence of those topics. I haven’t come across Nebula videos that are more niche like, let’s say, woodworking or metalworking etc. I do photography but I think there is only one Nebula content creator that does photography.

  • There were some stickers that appeared in public places in Romania saying “Russia is a friend”. After this incursion, how exactly is Russia a friend? Although, I’m sure many Romanians are too distracted and hypnotised on Tiktok by pro-Russian politicians to see that Russia itself is destabilising the country. I’m not kidding, pro-Russian candidates were somehow propelled into being viable opponents in the last general election, despite previously being unknown in traditional media and never took part in any debates. Turns out these candidates were making waves and appearances in social media.

Europe is still too dependent on the US military to decouple and be more independent own, unfortunately. The EU agreed to a trade deal/not-trade deal (according Von der Leyen) with Trump in European investment in the US military. I know Europeans were angry at that, but in the near term the EU doesn’t have the capability to arm itself sufficiently, while simultaneously arming Ukraine. IMO that deal was buying time for the EU to remilitarise independently (I’m not a fan of remilitarisation as a Euro but what can we do).

I have been thinking US probably requires a hard reset. But then I realised, this will only benefit Russia and China. Well, more for China. Russia’s expensive war in Ukraine won’t make the country last long in the future. No one worth their salt could replace Putin. If US breaks up or goes on civil war, China will be the ultimate winner.
