Go ahead. Squeeze me. Crack that vial and watch the fireworks erupt.
Ditching Windows as it has become spyware and adware.

When I was a kid, my parents renovated the Queenslander (an architectural style of house) we were living in.
We had hundreds of asbestos sheets that had been removed and “needed” to be broken up for easier disposal.
My brother and I “karate kicked” to pieces.
There’s more to the story, but I’m feeling a bit short of breath…

Of course the NSW police approved a neo-nazi rally…
… they wouldn’t want to see their colleagues waste their day off work!

I’m a Linux Mint newbie, so, at most, 4 tabs opened to resolve a glitch.
Well, 4 tabs if the search engine used was DuckDuckGo…
… but, as much as I hate to admit it, only 2 or 3 tabs if Google was used to find the needed pages.

@wildwhitehorses
No, I’m not “new to Australia”.
The point I was making is that the “duration of our showers” is comparatively insignificant compared to commercial water use and wastage.
Data centres, for AI processing, needlessly waste water resources.
Growing rice and cotton on the world’s driest continent seems a bit stupid.
Screwing the geology of the Great Artesian Basin to extract gas seems short-sighted.
There are FAR more pressing concerns than how much water we individuals use while showering. (Sure, there are some small towns or shires where this is a concern.)

Yeah, right. Any water shortages are likely due to personal hygiene requirements of people, and nothing to do with new b.s. AI data processing centres using gigalitres to cool equipment and maintain humidity levels.
Got it.

Of course Kick is Australian. It is arguably INXS’ best album.
Wait… what are we talking about??? (Hopefully, it’s not a snuff film.)

True. However, that’s buried in the ‘fine print’ of the second verse, and very few people know there is a second verse, let alone the words!

It’s slightly less ironic.
The seppos have the world famous Statue of Liberty and a plaque with the words, “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe.”
Us Aussies still haven’t had the guts to dump the Union Jack from our own flag, let alone establish a bill of rights.

I live in the hope of seeing an ultra-left-wing group demand that the “Greens” change their name due to it being unacceptable “botanical chlorophyllic appropriation”.

A small but well-earned round of applause for correctly using “distasteful” rather than “tasteless”.
Now, to be clear, if our federal politicians continue down this path towards “identity verification” in order for people to use the web, then I, for one, suggest we overthrow our government, using physical violence if necessary.
Ah, cool. So, O2 replenishment is still required. Ta!

America invade Australia?
I thought they’d already done that…
… to just about every country.
I’m probably wrong, but AFAIK subs (navy war vessels) don’t actually need much “new” or “introduced” oxygen when submerged.
Us humans breathe out just as much oxygen as we breathe in - it’s just that it’s contaminated with carbon - CO2.
I don’t think that nuclear powered subs “generate” or “create” much oxygen for the purposes of life support.
Instead, subs use CO2 “scrubbers” that are replaced at regular intervals. (See space flight, especially Apollo 13…)
As stated, “diesel electric” subs ALSO need to either surface or “snorkel” when running on diesel to recharge their batteries.

There IS a seal in that photo.
To see it, ya gotta put on some goggles and stick your head in the water.

Port? Use of “port” to denote a bag, suitcase, or other “carry all”?
Only octogenarians use “port” in this manner…

Yanks want to hear Australian characters being voiced by Yanks.
An Aussie character, voiced by an Aussie, will be heard as British by a Yank.
@cammoblammo
Well, the contaminated product was sold (or was available in) every state and territory.
In border areas, there are kids who live in one state but attend school in another state. It makes sense to have a coordinated national response, both in AU and NZ.
