It’s intended to be temporary, but I think recent events mean that Reddit is on a decline from which it will never recover its former glory. I’d like to see things move on to decentralized options precisely because it’s difficult or impossible to rebuild a community like /r/flashlight.

4·3 years agoYou are posting from beehaw and this post is about kbin.social, a different server running different (but interoperable) software.
It hasn’t been that since it got self-posts and comments in 2006; it’s a forum.
Lemmy and kbin are also forum software and should embrace being good at that.


I think kbin’s thumbnailer could use some work.
