my biggest takeaway is that the production is top notch. I especially love that they tried to keep the 70’s analog aesthetic without looking cheap ( i wish star trek did more of this with their TOS-era shows). so far i find the story a bit lacking, but it is only two episodes.
not until we actually stop using fossil fuels. we are still using more fossil fuels than ever. And when/if renewables actually start eating into the fossil fuel market, then fossil fuels will get cheaper. So either we are going to burn through most of our fossil fuels regardless, or we will eventually need to take some kind of punitive actions against using them.
anyway, you’d think republicans would be on board with renewables for exactly the same reasons as china. it makes economic and national security sense if that’s all you care about.
the contract they just signed is for 50 episodes in 5 years.
further enabling media bubbles. i’d rather see an approach that leverages something like ground.news that ranks the bias in articles.
idunno, even if you set aside the characters done by passed voice actors there are still plenty of options, they are just not using them.
they could even create new characters but haven’t done much of that either. I was exceited to see Keith David in the first episode and thought he was going to be part of the inner circle, but he hasn’t even been in an episode since then.
The new season of Dexter is not quite peak Dexter, but still pretty good.
their entire comment was a rhetorical strawman against my complaints about the movie.
I think i’ve only seen 5 episodes, but so far i’ve found it a bit bland. Hank is still great as Hank, but like any straight man in comedy he needs big characters to foil against, and that’s what i’ve found lacking so far. Bobby is older and has transitioned from comic relief to another straight man. Peggy hasn’t had much plot devoted to her yet. Dale and Bill have been pretty scarce. Less frequent characters like Kahn, Cotton, Luanne, and Mr Strickland haven’t been present at all.
It feels like a smaller more subdued show, and the Arlen community is less vibrant than it used to be. Maybe they had scheduling challenges with all the voice actors.
edit: watched the rest of the season and it is definitely better in letting some of the other characters shine. although i still feel like the show is suffering from bobby being older.
yeah, you were driving at a conversation has been had many times before and has no bearing on my post. we all know hollywood is all about the money, let’s move on.
the question here is, is Jurassic Park the worst of them all? and your post did not contribute to that conversation at all.
and yes, votes mean something, otherwise they wouldn’t exist. they affect the visibility of posts, which is why i downvote low effort and off topic comments such as yours.
eh star wars shows hit more often than JP sequels do. Clone Wars, Madalorian, Andor are all good.
eh i wouldn’t go that far. Alien and Termonator are much better than any Jurassic Park sequels.
it’s okay the novelty has worn off.
I’m fine with reboots; I only ask that you make them good. If you reboot something for the sake of rebooting it we will know and call you out on it. And most of them are not good, that’s the problem.
I would say they aren’t as bad as Jurassic Park. Also Jurassic Park has Matrix beat with volume.
Why do they keep making them?
that’s not what i asked, I understand why they keep making them.
Why do people watch them? IDK, dinosaurs are cool?
also not what i asked. I agree dinosaurs are cool.
Why did you watch it?
why does it matter? I thought it had a chance of being good. Now that I know it’s bad I will not watch it again.
edit: lol, out here on a high horse having a conversation with yourself, and you downvote me for calling you out on it.
Alien and Terminator have both had nothing but shit since their second installments.
that’s what i’m saying, Jurassic Park doesn’t even have that. Lost World was okay at best.
I still think Jurassic Park takes the cake here. I can’t speak to F&F or Halloween, but most of those franchises have at least one good sequel. The Matrix sequels aren’t great but in my opinion they’re better than JP’s. JP also has an edge with volume.
I guess I’ll have to rewatch that one, been a long time.
i watch episodes as they air. I like being able to think about what happened for a week and discuss with others. i miss that communal aspect of TV.
