I’d have to look up a walkthrough to get the specific information, but I recall you have to give earrings to the queen in wildwoods.

The whole reason behind it was to socialise with others in person and trade.
Now, though, the whole “multiple versions” is kinda pointless and just gates things, as you said.

I loved my retroid 3+ while it lasted. Unfortunately, it lasted only for a year before parts started breaking. They also stopped selling replacement parts by that point, and no one could find the ones needed to fix my device. Not sure why retroid keeps getting more expensive with each release if they’re still using the same quality of parts, but I’m never buying from them again.
I was looking at this device, but if it’s overall the same company, I’m definitely out. My 3DS just recently succumbed to the hinge issue, so I don’t doubt something with cheaper parts will succumb to the same issue much quicker.

I just didn’t enjoy it. I understand and appreciate all the things it did for JRPGs and pushing them into 3D as well, but playing it for the first time it just… was not good, in my opinion. I suppose the story beats that were meant to have impact didn’t since those have long since been spoiled, and controlling it was really difficult. All in all, I wouldn’t play the original FF7 again. I’ll probably give the new ones a try at some point.

I hope so as well! So far of the original 3D FFs, the only one that was disappointing was FF7, so I’m hopeful. So far I enjoy the quickness and easiness of switching between backlog characters in combat!

Been off of JRPGs for a tick, too much if a time commitment recently. But I started up Final Fantasy X. First time playing it, and since over the last couple of years I’ve gone through 7-9, it’s about time I work on 10.
As the other poster mentioned, the accessibility options will probably be able to help. But as someone that has 100% both Hollow Knight and Silksong, I couldn’t get very far in Nine Sols. The parry is key and I found the timing for it incredibly brutal.

Yea, that’s one of the ones that is excluded. Usually just the smaller contained rooms.

I’ve replayed this game maybe 4 times, I love it! Hope you enjoy your time with it all the way through.
FWIW, you do have safe spots.
Any room with a typewriter he cannot get into.

I love BG3; used to love D&D as well.
Anyone that says it’s like playing D&D is just not correct. It’s a fun game that can simulate some of the rules and mechanics pretty well, but never does it feel like actually playing D&D.

Alan Wake is a game that should be right up my alley.
Unfortunately, the gameplay left me wanting. I enjoyed the story for the most part, but the pacing of the game overall was strange, and other than getting light grenades, the gameplay doesn’t really change much or shake anything up from the beginning to the end.
I enjoyed the world a lot more than the actual game, but I’ve been told it’s sequel fixes some of my issues with the first game.

I can definitely see that if you’re not expecting it to be a game, it’d be a lot more enjoyable. It’s been a couple of years, so I think all I really knew about it was that it was highly rated and a platformer.
All I can say is that I’m glad I got it on deep sale, as I’d be even more furious if I paid the local price of $20 for this game.

The only one I can currently think of is Gris - and I say that because I can’t recall buying a game that made me want to get my money back upon finishing it.
Gris is very highly rated across the board, so clearly there’s something I’m missing as to why. I enjoy walking sim games every now and then, but it’d be hard for me to even call this one a game. People point to the story as being beautiful and deep, but it felt like nothing new and, for me, a bit trite. There was nothing engaging about this game to me. The worst part? It’s like 3 hours long.
Sorry if whomever reads this really likes Gris. I’m glad you could enjoy it. To me, it’s one of the worst recommendations I’ve ever received.

Avatar Legends is the new name for the franchise overall. I suppose it’s to differentiate from Cameron’s Avatar.
I suppose my experience may be different than others, I’m at the tail end of Act 3 and I have yet to grind for rosaries or shards. I remember people saying I’d need to do that, and I never have.
Why do we continue to give Nintendo excuses for their shitty anti-consumer practices?
If these are just because of US tariffs, why increase the price of Switch 1 consoles that are already in Canada and don’t need to be shipped through the US? Why increase digital games that aren’t being shipped at all? Not to mention, they opened the floodgates for the price increase in games.

Instead, we’ve got MegaMan and ProtoMan racing cars in Sonic Crossworlds.
But one could dream. That sounds like a fun idea.

It’s a pretty low price already, and I personally think the devs deserve it. Hope you enjoy!

I get the inherent value people attach to it, but after having it several times (I’d have it for a month or two and then drop it for like, a year), I would never go back to it even if it still seemed like a good deal.
For an app developed by Microsoft and working on a PC, it has some awful pathing, and I lost saves and had issues launching games on multiple occasions. Tried many fixes and it never worked out. Some games would work for me, others wouldn’t. So for me, since it felt like a toss up to get a game to work, it was pointless.
Just as an FYI from my experience, I’ve not had the 4, only the 3+. The handheld works great for about a year, but the parts they use are pretty cheap and will break often. Once they stop supporting replacement parts, it’s hard to find some of the ones that they used.
