yeah it gets a bit frustrating when i would like to see more invested into new stories (not saying this never happens, it does! i just mean…even more lol). i do think its possible for remakes to be good (or even great!) so i try to keep an open mind about them but imo an ideal remake/reboot needs to have a strong vision and forge its own identity, nod to the original but also very much do its own thing. tricky balance and maybe its just that theres rarely enough time/money/patience/risktaking given to support good, fresh writing :/

u could work thru the moviedrome list for some cult classics (i have slowly been doing this myself, as well as trying to watch the corresponding intro if its on youtube), they are not always good movies (tho a lot are). but they will likely get some opinions flowing, there’s a good variety of genres as well

if i may, i suggest focusing more on supporting smaller creators instead, it will make a much bigger difference to them. if there is a youtuber whose work u really like, kick em a few bux on their patreon or kofi, bc most of those ppl get shit all revenue, esp if they don’t get sponsors or get demonetised a lot, and youtube takes a big cut of donos. imo supporting ppl that way, buying music & merch off bandcamp, commissioning artists or buying from their online shop, support ur local arthouse/indie cinema, putting some $ into kickstarters/backerkits, etc - that helps pay ppls rent & bills. everyone can do what they like with their own money but for me, it makes no sense to give millionaires more cash when u can help someone who is operating on a shoestring.

would have loved a full-length live action Predator movie with any of the 3 Earth settings that were in Predator: Killer of Killers but, well, then they used them for Killer of Killers so i am p sure thats out of the question now. good thing there’s a bunch of other cool potential settings, i guess? ;_;

i quite enjoy Trash Theory, even when it’s about an artist i am not super fond of i usually do come away with a new appreciation for them! also often i will find a couple new-to-me artists to listen to as a bonus :)

gorgeous work, the detailing is so pretty and the paint really lets it pop!

a lot of the time if i am feeling hungry but just ate i think what is happening is that i am a bit dehydrated from forgetting to drink enough water during the day, so i will focus on drinking water for a while and if i am still hungry after a couple hours i might grab a snack. but quite often it’s the water thing for me and i need no snack, just sips!

the waves are so dynamic, well done!
