I don’t know what this has to do with the article. Any suggestions how to solve the problem you seem concerned with?

Lol, i can’t wait to see where this ends up
From the article:
Antifa, short for “anti-fascist,” is generally described by experts as a loose, decentralized movement rather than a structured organization, raising questions about how such a designation would be applied in practice.
Makes me think of episode 8 from Twin Peaks season 3 🤯
The one time he finally shuts the fuck up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s like they aren’t aware of the fact that they also need to have a livable planet to survive
It wouldn’t be the first time something like that was done either, especially in the appliance world. I occasionally get a call for an IKEA or Kirkland Signature Appliance… They’re always just rebadged units from a major manufacturer, often Whirlpool in the cases I’ve encountered.
I can already see how this is gonna play out. A panel of highly-qualified scientists/researchers with many decades of experience under their collective belts will make reasoned and well-researched claims in favor of vaccines.
Then a panel of mouth-breathers will respond with some hare-brained bullshit about autism being the outcome of vaccine usage.
The laws will then be changed to make vaccines illegal permanently in the US.
Did you read the article? The bots are literally encouraging these kids to take their own lives. Should vulnerable kids/teens just be prohibited from using the bots or should the bots be fixed (or removed until they are)? In what world are we ok with our children having access to trash like that? The lack of accountability is once again my biggest gripe in all of this. Stories like these will continue to take place until openai and meta et al are forced to make major changes or drop their bots. What kind of sociopath releases an app that convinces young people to kill themselves and they’re like “here’s a $100, better luck next time”. Fuck everything about these bots and especially the companies creating them and doing fuck-all about the aftermath of their decisions.
Geez, i forgot the title of the series: The Cosmic Trigger. The guy is a nut but a very interesting writer with some out-there ideas.
If rich people go mucking about with their genomes, it’s much more likely to backfire in unforeseen ways
This really resonates with me. No person is that smart or has the level of foresight required to make those kinds of changes effectively (at very least in the long term).
From time to time i think of an author i had enjoyed years ago named Robert Anton Wilson. He was a warped sonofabitch, a Yund i can’t really claim to fully understand his philosophy, but even just as recently as this past week i found myself thinking about a concept he’d discussed at length: the idea that when one is very young, there are “imprints” impressed on your brain that really determine how you think/act/are. He had written a series about attempting to erase ones imprints and replace them with more advantageous ones.
He had spent just as much time warning about the dangers of attempting to do such a thing though. As much as anybody may like to think they know what’s best for themselves or anyone else, it’s astounding now frequently we can be wrong due to lack of information, bad judgement, bias, etc.
The genetic decisions one may choose to make for their offspring may have little/no relevance by the time those offspring arrive. I feel like it could be so much worse though. I imagine this is more like tweaking assembly code, but on an even more complex system that we don’t even fully understand yet. The most hubristic will convince themselves they know best, but i have to imagine reality will prove them wrong every time.
Freedom o’ speech
Well you don’t want to blame anyone unfairly, gotta mind your p’s and q’s and come in with an airtight case bc you only get one shot when you go for the king (or something, that’s usually the line I’m given as to why the gears of justice grind so slowly or whatever)
Remember what a “delicate moment” that was?!? 🫠
I’m not even hungry and I’m wishing i could try one right now, lol. Some of those sandwiches sound bangin’
I was just thinking about how i often fail to remember that this country was founded on the genocide of its prior inhabitants. We are the descendants of those responsible for that genocide. There is plenty of toxicity that got passed along the generations leading us here and it doesn’t seem likely it’s gonna go away.
Oh boy, think Elon will change his name next time he gets married? Elon Domingo? Elon Smith? Elon Trump? 😛 He can make it into a complete glow-up entering his free-wheeling 50’s era 💅
I feel this comment in my bones. Have a nice weekend! ✨
My guess: they’ll use this as their latest example of the “violent left” without evidence, as is tradition
Exactly. It only gains legitimacy by frequent repetition. No need to use their stupid names
