htmonoto Bicycles@lemmy.ca•Can someone recommend a good resource for getting a neglected bike back into riding condition? What tools I need, what sort of parts I should check if they need replacement, so on?1·2 years agoThis is all good advice and should get OP to get the bike up and running.
That is very good point about the climbs, didn’t even think about that.
I never do jumps so thankfully that has been a non-issue :)
This is pretty good idea, thank you! What pedals are you using? Do you you find that clipless pedals grip enough on the flat side?
I’m usually riding what would be called trails. Some ups and downs, natural rocky and rooty terrain. No jumping.
I think I’m probably going to test out my gravel pedals for a loop or two and see how it feels before purchasing anything :)
htmonoOPto Coffee•What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.3·2 years agoYeah it’s seems to be something else. And oh is it bugging me now when I don’t know.
htmonoOPto Coffee•What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.4·2 years agoMine seemed to be 6 cup version. It holds about 300ml of water and the gasket was 71ml in diameter :)
htmonoOPto Coffee•What size my Bialetti Moka Express is? I'm in need of new gasket set but can't find 10 cup version anywhere.3·2 years agoFilling it to the safety valve it holds little over 300ml of water. Filling it to the brim it will hold about 440ml of water.
Edit: 6 cup version seems to be 300ml in size not 250ml. Also the diameter of the rubber matches.
I’m still confused what the stamp means, even though it doesn’t matter.

htmonoto Books@lemmy.ml•What have you been reading this week? [June 26-July 2, 2023]English2·2 years agoI’ve just started The Stand by Stephen King. I finished 1Q84 from Murakami few weeks ago and somehow the hunger for again something longer got me. Oh well, this is going to take its own time.

Park Tools is amazing when you need to figure out bike repairs. They have ridiculous amount of content on their channel.
Dustin Klein is either great or annoying depending what you like. I find his content great, it’s mostly gravel riding and some mtb mixed in.
Also in no particular order: BCPov, Van Girl Yuka, Bikepacking.com, Cade Media, Loam Ranger and Dangerous Dave.
Currently kindle and audiobooks are my go-to. Love the feeling of good hardback but convenience is the key with ebooks.

Anything black metal. I find it super calming. White noisines(?) of it works great. If anyone wants recommendations then bands …And Oceans and Gaerea are my current go-to.

Heck yeah!
