@Mario Vavti Does that mean, that removing boosts isn’t technically feasible on HZ?

@Marshall Sutherland Marshall, i see your and Mario’s point:
Is it completely unfathomable to wanting to be able to remove a boost later alone, because you do not want to show up as a booster on their post after the type of incidents described above? That should make it clear.
This works in Mastodon, why should it not work here?
@Mario Vavti Let’s use an example. Someone posts a thread, i like the initial post, i am boosting it, so that more can engage in that discussion. The whole thing later on turns into sthg. nasty, there’s many options, flame wars, anti-human stuff, what-have-you.
And so finally I’d like to take my repeat/boost away not to lure more people into this mess. But then i can’t. I can with a like, why not with a repeat/boost?
@Mario Vavti I can’t see your point. This would mean, that people engaging upon a recommendation are also acting weirdly. I can’t see neither of those issues, and i think, that the whole is just one of comm being fluid, neither fully controllable nor judgeable. What matters to me, is that i could publicly (or not) withdraw a consent or even endorsement which i had given before to some content and their author(s).
What others make of either action is their own story, not mine.
@Mario Vavti Easy, that i stop supporting a post, that i supported before, because later on i had a 2nd thought. Btw i am no special person there, people change their mind all the time.
@Mario Vavti Thank you very much! Now that we have a “repeat again” option on the boost menu, can we also have a remove repeat option?

@Mario Vavti Updated 2 hours ago, and network notifications stopped almost completely. Everything just drops in slowly. Could this be related to the lazy load? Is there a way to manually switch this off to find out?
On a second note i have an issue with the time of notifications/posts coming from the server being one hour in the future, since 10.2. already

*_jayrope@hub.kliklak.netto Vinyl and LPs - Analogue Music Goodness•Peeping Tom - Peeping Tom2·6 months ago@SatansMaggotyCumFart Well, as you probably know coloured vinyl sounded worse than it’s black vinyl counterparts for a long time. But you’d only notice, when you had both. Besides that i believe, that recent improvements in pressing those things have minimized the difference.

But it starts to get interesting especially for bass and drums on a properly maintained machine, from 2-track 1/2" on.

Your splitting method sounds like a possibility, as long as there is no digital sound processing in the signal path in between (you could get latency problems otherwise: steady phasing due to signal buffers in the way)

I play baritone guitar, or drop C on D tunings, partly on sthg. like an electrified Martin Backpacker, so I want that whoomph to survive even in bigger distortion scenarios. Love that thing!

@Mario Vavti It’s been discussed in detail above including examples.
