jlgourley everything is handled on Transifex, so I’d just go ahead and start translating!

Kadir-Ay-0 not really, no. What are you trying to achieve with limiting the number of sessions?

The Discourse ActivityPub plugin is developed by a sole developer but I believe it is ready for use. I also believe he is still working on the plugin so that’s positive news.
Federation with Discourse forums is tricky, it’s been difficult getting NodeBB to work reliably with Discourse.
Are you able to load Discourse categories in Lemmy?

informapirata indeed! This is configurable under the site-wide ActivityPub settings under “auto categorization rules”.
For that site I have hashtags like “ActivityPub” and “fedimod” set up to automatically categorize discussions.
It only matches for discussions that don’t already have a category of their own (so, microblog stuff.)

Twissell it is possible, yes. NodeBB chats are not E2EE, so don’t use it with anything more than superficial expectations of privacy.
That said, there are no easily available tools to do so. You’d have to build your own interface or dive into the database to read said messages.
[email protected] might I suggest appropriating the ActivityPub logo? For lack of a better option.
There’s the “networked nodes” fediverse logo but it really loses its effect when made small.
[email protected] what happens if a browser that doesn’t understand protocol handlers encounters this scheme?

> Batel’s Gorn DNA infusion, the treatment from the chimera plant, and her earlier encounter with the Vezda are stirred up into a convoluted sci-fi stew to explain all this in a dialogue scene that tries with all its might to use sci-fi-y terminology to convince us this actually makes sense, but mostly just draws attention to what a whopper of an ass-pull it all really is. The overriding sense one gets while watching this is, “Well, they’re just making stuff up now and pretending it holds water.” It really doesn’t. But I have to admit that I respect the commitment to the sheer insanity of the concept, even if the effort and seam-hiding are lacking. In the end, it’s basically, “because we said so.”
god bless Jammer.

Twissell in that case there should be no adverse effect on SEO.
Crawlers will see the rel=canonical tag and automatically deduplicate the 2+ entries into one

Twissell cna you check the rel=canonical for both of those pages?
They should both return the same value.
The PR comments suggest that making the various changes to the backend were too large to justify, and a front-end only approach would be preferred? [email protected]
It raises a good point though, where if you serve web+ap://, it’s not understood by clients that are not aware of this scheme. If there were a way a client could communicate whether there is a protocol handler registered, then the server could tailor its response.
Are there implementors of web+ap? I’d be interested in adopting.
I assume the fallback behaviour is to just assume https?
The concept sounds excellent, although there is fairly limited mobile support.
Since NodeBB is an installable PWA it would be definitely nice to have it supported there as well.
[email protected] interesting idea… I know Evan has some thoughts about this as part of his ActivityPub HTML discovery project
https://swicg.github.io/activitypub-html-discovery/
I am not sure why they did not settle on protocol handlers but I’ve tagged him for comment

eeeee that is a small expandable element showing the post that it was in reply to (which is your post)

> None of this “Universal Star-child” bullshit.
Bang on. It’s the same reason I couldn’t stand Discovery. There’s a universe ending problem and you alone are the key to solving it? Blech.
Fan fic with higher production values.
I think Batel was a well written character, otherwise.

Ben-Stokes you’ll want to use NodeBB-plugin-sso-oauth2-multiple or nodebb-plugin-session-sharing 🙂
yasas turning on “I’m Under Attack” mode will likely block search engine crawlers as well.
It is meant to be used as a last resort.
@omega setting up Anubis is probably going to be the only path forward (especially if you don’t want to use CF built in tooling.)
You want to let search crawlers through but stop AI crawlers. It’s a tough game of cat and mouse.
