And people are just pointing out how stupid you are. Sounds fair to me.

Thanks for responding. I use Arch and tried both open and propietary driver for nvidia. I’m still learning the ins and outs of using Linux so even when I search for solutions, a lot of it just goes above my head, haha. I’m sure I’ll figure it out (or the problem would fix itself) eventually.

I… I don’t have your Antifa… It’s in Bill’s house, and Fred’s House!
Yeah working here seems horrible. I’ve been working for myself ever since I moved back 15 or so years ago (born Okinawan, raised in Canada), so I don’t really have first-hand experience. But looking at my local friends and workers around town, I feel like they work way too hard for what they get.

I can’t even get past my login screen without my monitors losing signal. I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. It’s a beast I have to tackle again before they drop x11

That’s just you inferring something from what’s not being said. Instead of accusing the media of what they didn’t do, why don’t you go share articles about the other two heroes so they get the recognition you think they ‘deserve.’ Personally, if I died trying to stop gunmen, I wouldn’t need recognition. I’d want my family left alone in peace to process my death.

How the fuck do you even come to that conclusion lmao
Yeah, we haven’t been the island of longevity for a long time. Male suicide rates are so high it affects our average lifespan. I really hate when outsiders think of island is some kind of tropical paradise even though we suffer constantly.
Because it comes from a literal bug that messed with a computer.
Yeah, the guy you’re talking to took “anything” and started talking about some hypothetical rapist government when the original comment clearly says “people that want to have children.”
Yeah, it’s kinda annoying at most, and I usually take it as them just trying to accommodate to my needs. I’m not necessarily disagreeing with OP, but more with his ex’s reaction. “Blatant racism?” C’mon.
It looks like you can use “site:” on Google. Would that be useful for you at all?
You’d get branded “ignorant” at most if the tables were reversed and your ex thinking it’s “blatant racism” is way blown out of proportion in my opinion.
Try getting mocked by some random shit spawns in Europe pull their eyes back and yell ching chong Chang on the train during your family vacation lol.
Still, though, I get it. It’s pretty ignorant to assume white people can’t use chopsticks in the current millenium.

Iirc it’s 0 gravity as well.

It’s standardization, not censorship. So I think your take is easy overblown. If anything, it helps us understand each other better.
Although, I have to admit, sticking to British English when we already have Canadian English is friggin dumb and a huge waste of effort.

But you don’t understand how big the US is! We can fit two Chinas in Texas! And we can put five Texases in Texas! Omg it’s so huuuuge you guys, public transportation would just not work here, like, ever!!
Whoa cool. Is there a platform other than here where I can follow your work??

I have sort of the opposite problem. My wife and I moved to Japan in our 20s and it was pretty damn easy because I’m a citizen and I had family help me find an apartment for us. We were 100% set in terms of basic necessities in like a week and could start job hunting immediately. Now that I’m in my 40s, we’re trying to go back to Canada so we can take care of our parents more and let the kids experience Canadian schools, but it’s so god damn expensive to do anything.

Voters
Kind of a tangent, but what really scares me about the “turn on red” rule is that it’s not the same around the globe.
There are so many international drivers here in Japan that turn left at a red light without realizing that’s completely illegal. It catches pedestrians completely off guard. I think on Montreal Island you couldn’t do this either.
Stopping at a red light when wanting to turn isn’t some rare, obscure situation, so people who are travelling have to BE ABSOLUTELY SURE about this rule before they make use of their international lisence.
