fail2ban is quickly and easy solution but you can achieve the same with nftables using set and limit rate… I do it using these rules
readability of the source C is more clean to read than Rust the only thing I don’t like from C is the headers files in my opinion if Linux migrates to Rust, FreeBSD will be on the rise!

Probably Kent is doing a great job but a the same time his ego has become inflated, in a community project you need to follow the rules and don’t break them.
