Technology@lemmy.ml•(Discussion) Would you pay for Reddit Premium IF it allowed you to continue using your favorite app?
1·3 years agoI paid for Reddit Premium. (have cancelled it now).
If the API would be full-featured (so including explicit content) and if I still don’t get ads, I wouldn’t mind paying a reasonable amount.
At least I would have before their CEO started burning bridges. Right now I’m done with reddit.
They’re not getting my eyeballs nor my money anymore.

How can I change the language setting?
I feel indeed that those two should be switched. It makes more sense to have the ‘favourites’ be boosts instead of the upvotes. I wonder what the downvote is mapped to :)

Socialism@lemmy.ml•Customer Ratings Have Become Meaningless. ‘People Hand Out 5 Stars Like It’s Candy.’

You can use kbin as a mastodon thing too, from what I can see, but I haven’t used it for that yet. I’d love it if I could attach my already existing Masto account to kbin, so that I could use kbin as the client for that account. But maybe that’s a silly idea.
One thing that sticks out to me is that Lemmy-upvotes show up as “Favourites” on kbin, but upvotes on kbin don’t show up on lemmy at all, as far as I can see.
I’m also on mstdn.social and I have a pixelfed account somewhere :)
I’m still dipping my toes in. Got a bit confused early on, so now I have 2 accounts, one on beehaw.org and one on kbin.social, trying both out to see which interface I like best.
My library is huge, I don’t have enough shelf space for all of my physical books, and on my ebook reader, I have a big kindle, humble bundle and bookfunnel library. I also have an offline ebook library.
I probably don’t have enough time in my life to read all the books I want to read.So I’m now pretty picky on what books I’m going to buy, rent, ‘steal’ or borrow.

I thought spez wasn’t worried about reddit’s bottomline with these protests?
What a weird way of showing that you’re not concerned.
