Health - Resources and discussion for everything health-related•Yes, Some Children May Have Died From COVID ShotsEnglish
22·13 days agoIt is irresponsible to talk about children dying from the vaccine without also talking about how many children have died from COVID. And I think these people know it as well, which makes it downright evil.

Heat that is already present in the atmosphere is waste heat and cannot.

Technology@lemmy.zip•Insane: Microsoft's latest ad proves how useless Copilot on Windows 11 actually isEnglish
6·1 month agoYes, it does. It’s only a short video but, anyway:
He has already opened the drop-down, where 150% is currently selected. He asks “what percentage should I click?” and Copilot replies “let’s start with 150%, which is the recommended size”. He hesitates slightly, then says “let’s…”, clicks 200% and then says “boom!”.

Technology@lemmy.zip•Insane: Microsoft's latest ad proves how useless Copilot on Windows 11 actually isEnglish
441·1 month agoCopilot didn’t suggest 150% in the context of a set of instructions. He specifically asked Copilot which percentage to set. That was the only task which Copilot was being asked to solve at that point in time.
You might also say that this is a simple task, so nobody would actually ask Copilot what percentage to use but isn’t that the point? This task, which Copilot failed on, is a simple task.

UK Politics@feddit.uk•We surveyed British MPs – most don’t know how urgent climate action is
2·2 months agoIf politicians are of any use at all, it is to know this kind of thing. And a politician who does not know has no business voting on anything where it is relevant (which is basically everything).

European Federalists•France's woes not yet ringing alarm bells across EU but worries keep rising
1·2 months agoIt is only a ‘hung’ parliament if you start from the premise that politics must be adversarial. If politics was based on compromise, then the fact that one party or coalition cannot achieve 50% of the seat would not be a problem. In fact, the fact that in most democratic systems, a voting block of >50% has unchecked power to pass laws is a problem. It means that the minorities can expect that their concerns will never be addressed, because the majority has no need to.

United Kingdom@feddit.uk•Defence ministry spends millions on private schools to avoid WelshEnglish
6·3 months agoWhy is he an idiot? He isn’t insisting that these children go to an all-welsh school. He’s saying that it’s ridiculous to pay private-school fees for the sole purpose of avoiding 2 hours of Welsh a week.
Of course, the soldiers from Wales probably don’t need this. It’s aimed at the ones who have been sent there together with their families, from somewhere else in the UK. I wonder how many of those are officers.

Please don’t stop signing petitions though. It takes little effort and forces them to justify their unpopular policies in Parliament (admittedly usually to a very empty chamber).
