  • If you think what you have to throw out as the consumer is wasteful, take a look in the kitchens of these places and tell me that it’s any better. Most foods that have to be prepped in advance must be separated by single-use parchment/wax paper, then wrapped in plastic. When ready to use, use a glove for a few uses to take the prepped food out of the wrap, remove the paper separating it all, and chuck it out. It could have been prepped a week ago, or only two hours ago for fresh use, you still throw out all this paper and plastic wrapping. And then the cleaning, there is an inexcusable amount of paper towel used for various purposes, from drying your hands to wiping a counter/table, etc. And it’s all thrown out. Some restaurants will use towels and kitchen rags, but then you have so many to wash and clean, it’s usually done by a third-party service that has to drive to pick it all up, drive to a central laundry stop, do the laundry, and then drive it all back to get done again. And if you are in a place that has a washing machine in-house, it’s a drop in the bucket in solving real waste issues.

There are certain things people say that should be banned:

    • When saying that you haven’t done or seen something in a while, don’t say “a minute” instead. I will ask what happened sixty seconds ago and make you a fool.
    • When talking about where you live, you don’t “stay at”, you live at a place.
    • And being afraid of the word “moist” makes you sound like a toddler who doesn’t want a bath.
    • One more, “amaze-balls” and “automagic” are not words and make you sound like a toddler who doesn’t want a bath.

I figured they could have done two more seasons with everything that was jammed into those three mini-movies. Could you imagine how funny it would have been to see the witches in human school? Dealing with everything that is boring and getting a detention only to discover it’s just sitting on your ass?

  • It matters to sponsors. Big companies pay money to have their name slapped on everything, and then huge amount of marketing to ensure the max audience size means many more eyes in the sponsors crap. The NFL makes a killing on these sponsored events, so they will drive up the engagement wherever they are. And since sports matter to many Americans, this needs to REALLY SUPER matter.

I agree, who cares about teams picking players except for the players?

  • It’s kind of a mixed bag question. But the big question is why is there such a huge emphasis on monsters in the first place? There are a ton of monsters in all editions of d&d, so why aren’t there monsters discussed in Tolkien by the characters like this? There were a few, and either a large creature from the depths of hell that only struck one place, a giant spider who was content to be in her home and not be bothered by Hobbits, and an army of orc/goblin hybrids. In a d&d game, we are supposed to be attacked by several monsters, all different types, at any given time.
