Right so here the reply from my dad,
"It is estimated that a 5l barrel will age whisky in 6 months as opposed to a full keg. I did it once and the results were interesting. Added burnt oak chips and soaked the barrel in port for 2 months prior to keep it fully swelled.
It was comparable to an unaged Talisker. We did a taste comparison at the pub and while no aficionados the verdict was ambivalent
5 years.
Also shuggling the barrel a couple of times a week will accelerate the process ".Hope that helps.
I’m pretty sure you can get mini barrels to age your home distilled whiskey in. And it should age quicker by comparison to larger full sized barrels.
My dad has a still and monitor barrel, I’ll ask him.
Knit your own!
I recently took up knitting and knitted my first pair of socks for a friend. She loves them.
Never fucking again! What a pain! Literally, I kept tapping myself in the stomach with the double pointed needles.
“It is what it is” when describing a bad situation.
No, that’s defeatist as hell, it will be whatever it will be when I’ve given it everything I can to make it better.

The OP picture is actually on the page you listed.
Check out the willful child series of books. The captain Hadrian Sawback (possibly spelt wrong I’ve only listened to audiobooks.) Always sends down all of the top officers and is constantly reminded of how bad an idea it is.
Yeah this is how I clean the house 80%.
The other 20% is me not cleaning the house and playing with the stuff I find.
We do that. My friend and i have worked together across many jobs and industries over the last 20 years.
We recently TUPE’d from one company to another and we were worried we’d get split up as you never have two fully qualified people in our position in one team but we recieved an email from the new company saying they had recieved word from our previous employer that under no circumstances were we to be split up as we work as a team and get more work done than any 3 other teams.
I get on great with all my family.
Christmas is a hoot when we all get together and I love looking after any nieces and nephews asked of me and i know my sisters live my kids.
My parents are ace they moved away for retirement but we try and visit them as often as we can.
I got the original ones not the fancy new ones on ebay for £112, the cable was broken and the nose pads were missing but I bought some foam pads and a new cable for £15.
Absolutly worth it. They also plug into my phone for watching movies and shows. I work away from home a lot and the glasses along with noise cancelling headphones are brilliant at blocking out all the idiots who’d otherwise think they could talk to me.
I got a pair of the xreal air glasses to use with the deck. Now I have a big screen and I can keep my arms down where they’re comfy. 7/5 would recommend.
