1·2 days agoAll missiles were intercepted, Iran told Qatar ahead of time, and the Qataris appear to have passed that along to the US base in their borders. So basically a lot of chest beating. And thankfully Trump didn’t take the bait.

Waymo has arguably been there for a while now. I’ll Uber outside of their coverage area, and take the autonomous car with in it. Every other Uber driver in my area is making late lane choices, tailgating, cutting people off, talking to me about how the world works, etc. The Waymos don’t do any of that shit.
Having experienced FSD, I can honestly say, Waymo’s LiDAR system is way better. It doesn’t do this terrifying shit.
My hot take is that, since US hasn’t done mandatory service in decades, a draft wouldn’t work. I think they’d honestly have a hard time getting a lot of the middle class and affluent right to support it.

All is bit of a stretch. Oakland’s budget is in rough shape right now. They’re doing a few roads here and there, and they usually start with some low cost experimentation in areas with plastic cones and paint to test first.

Of course his administration was heavily involved. Pentagon pizza orders skyrocketed right before the attack. Takeout food orders skyrocket anytime the pentagon staff has spend late nights dealing with some urgent military action.
Smart history teachers will leave this in. Dropping “big balls” in a lecture will 100% get the class’s attention.
