I just attach the straps directly to the chastity ring, and I only use the around the waist strap, the jock style strap can help keep it SUPER secure, but I often find it doesn’t help that much more than just a waist strap.

I pretty much follow this guide by u/Wifuuuu on reddit, they’ve made a few guides, this is not the original one I saw, but most of the ones they have made have these same steps:

You’re welcome! I have basically the same cage and I can comfortably wear it without a strap, but wearing it with one is even more comfortable. You mention having to reposition it because of discomfort and that’s part of what a strap can help prevent, I used to think I didn’t need a strap and then I wore one and it was a game changer for comfort and how long I could wear my cage

If you’re not already, It might help with your comfort if you wear and elastic chastity cage strap, it helps keep everything secure to the body and in place
