When you put it like that, the liberal brain implodes.

Don’t ask me exactly how or why, it just does, they become emotional and irrational at that point.

Maybe pictures of dragons sleeping on piles of gold would help, stories about how they only leave them to terrorize nearby village folk, occasionally abduct a young girl and steal her away to a mythical island, for god knows what purposes.

  • As of 2024, 806 people in the US control as much wealth as the bottom 50% of the population.

If every one of those billionaires has 10 billion dollars, thats equivalent to about 165 million people who each have ~49,000.

Those 806 ten billionaires then have ~204,082x as much wealth as any of those 165 million people.

However, I believe I can solve this problem for a fairly low cost.

Assuming each ten billionaire has approximately 10 close friends/relatives…and we want to just be super duper sure the problem is solved, so we’ll buy 100 of those uh, investment options, per social contagion vector…

That works out to a total cost of around ~$310,000.

Split between those 165 million people, that’s one fifth of a cent, per person.

Does anyone want to guess what my special purpose investment vehicle to achieve said disruption of the malignent social contagaion market is?

  • Its because many game studios just started making many games that just assume you have some kind of raytracing capable GPU.

They largely stopped bothering to properly support and properly optimize for the hardware situations where you don’t.

A whole bunch of post processing and even just basic scene rendering?

Yeah, they’re now done in kinds of render pipelines that more or less blow up or chug without cards that have at least some ray tracing support, even if you actually have all your in game settings down to as low as possible.

Its hard to set up lights and bake light maps and such in the old fashioned way, its easy to just let the engine handle all of that for you as a dev, auto magically.

Problem is, very few dev teams actually know how to use UE5 properly, and on one level, I don’t blame them, it is absurdly complex.

Threat Interactive on youtube more or less has hours of extremely technical breakdowns of UE5 shennanigannery, and also comparisons to somewhat niche techniques used by select, older games, that are as, nearly as, or sometimes actually just better than many UE5 games at realistic high fidelity graphics… while also being more performant, running on older hardware.

Its exceedingly technical and complicated, but the upshot is: No, you’re not crazy, these idiots are often intentionally, often unintentionally, doing things in stupid ways, unnecessary ways.

    EDIT: 12 polygons you say?

    Runs on anything, you say?

    … ok, hear me out:

What if there is more to a video game than just how graphically realistic it is… what if it could be immersive, convincing, memorable, complex, not totally railroad you through a blatently OP power fantasy, linear story, even make the player really think about some real world serious shit, while also having a bit of goofy levity from time to time?

Man if there was a game like that, you’d have to reinstall it or something, sheesh.

(This entire game fits on a single CD ROM, btw, less than 750 MB)

  • A… commerce degree?

Forgive my American dialect, but is that… Canadian… for a Business degree?

Uh anyway, myself having degrees in Econ and Poli Sci, here’s my attempt at explaining it, at this late date:

    Sunk Cost Fallacy.

IE, its now essentially its own self-perpetuating delusion, its own bubble all in and of itself.

How did it get to this point?

Uh, Elon is a con artist.

See the same part of the Poli Sci textbooks that attempt to answer ‘Why do people who are directly, negatively impacted by Republican policies keep voting for them?’

Though at that point we may need to just delve more into Psychology, groupthink, socially performed identities, cults, etc.

  • See, personally, as a guy, if somebody just obviously and intentionally grabbed me by the hen and her two children, over the pants, in most contexts…

… i’d interpret that as an extremely sexual act, as the uh, first act to a grander play.

Either that or basically sexual assault? Done purely to assert a kind of dominance or essentially ownership?

  • Outside of a few notable exceptions, older games are ironically more novel and have more interesting gameplay.

And practically no one can actually afford the super duper premium Nvidia prices required to make an unoptimized UE5 engine game actually run well.

… Half of the gaming market in general is gacha games on mobile phones.

Most permaonline ‘hardcore’ gamers, people you see on game related discussion forums, as well as industry marketing execs, and yes, both pay for play gaming ‘journalists’, and most of your favorite youtube/twitch game opinion havers… they’re all delusionally out of touch with the basic economic reality most gamers are in.

This is why things like Stop Killing Games are important.

Publishers know that existing games are their primary competition, thats why they want them to be unplayable.

At this point, the disparity is so extreme that I would not be surprised if GTA 6 more or less ends up being the beginning of the end of Rockstar.

People are not going to be able to pay the prices they will need to charge for their basically ‘decade of investment’ game that primarily serves as an MTX platform.

The … physics of that are like… there is a theoretical point, somewhere inside the lava loaf, that is 4000F, but the vast, vast majority of the rest of it is like… between 2000F to 1000F, roughly, right?

… I’m tempted to try and find some kind of material physics simulator, but something tells me they’re gonna be geared toward metals, ceramics and maybe plastics… not… bread dough…

  • Probably?

As always with sex: Communication is key.

Be an adult, use your words, don’t expect mind reading, or assume that you can.

    EDIT:

Also… what are the actual bounds of ‘initiating sex’?

Do you mean… requesting penetrative insertion, by means of fondling the involved area, as foreplay, to be later uh, made more mechanically involved?

Or… is fondling genetalia itself, sex?

A guy can come from a hand job, a gal can come from being fingered.

If thats the case, thats what you mean… then sex has arguably, definitionally, already commenced.

I guess you also didn’t specify what part is being fondled under the pants.

Generally, I’d say any under the pants action is a pretty clear sexual act, but othet people may not agree with that, to some extent.

Maybe grabbing a cupfull of ass is significantly different to a handful of cock or kitty, to some people.

Maybe tracing a line just barely under the pants, near the genitals, but not actually touching them… maybe that constitutes an actual sexual act, maybe its foreplay, maybe its nothing, for different people.

There are so many potential variables and things that people take for granted that each detail just works the same way for everybody, without actually explicitly discussing…

You have to actually use words, and stop being cutesy or embrarassed or forcefully assertive without words.
