I built a notifier for new movie releases for myself and there are so many of these movies. One would think the market is saturated by now, but apparently there are enough people who enjoy this kind of content for the never ending onslaught.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I’m not queer, but I welcome the diversity and variety. Definitely room for some sociology papers, I think.

I am happy that trans people can be who they want to be, even if there is still a long way to go. But I am thrown by how statistics, that consistently give numbers of <1% to 3% for transsexual people in the general population, don’t match the number of transitioning stories I read online. I get why that is, safe space, confirmation bias and all, but it’s such a major disconnect between experience and actual numbers that it constantly trips me up. From what I read online, the percentage of trans people feels like it’s around 20-30%. Or, in this case, 50%.

My last trip to the US was 2016. I have no intention to visit again anytime soon. It’s a nice country, unbelievably large if you’re from Europe. But the current regime can fuck right off.

Stalin Line is a military history park. They have WW2 bunkers, loads of Soviet vehicles and an area where they do reenactments. And you could fire that monster rifle and an AK47. They also had a funny story about Hugo Chavez, who watched a reenactment and when the red flag fell down he ran onto the field, full of people with guns (loaded with blanks, but still) and his bodyguards, armed with apparently real ammo, followed him.

Didn’t Richardson blow them up? His character was quite wacko, so I thought it fit into the movie. I didn’t think too hard about it, though, which is evident because I finished the movie.

I once fired one of these monsters near Minsk in a park called Stalin Line. It set off car alarms over 50m away.

I watched a triple feature of the extended edition in a cinema years ago. What an experience, to spend the entire day there. During a break we got Chinese takeout, the people from the cinema didn’t care. But the people sitting in front of us were annoyed. Or jealous, because they didn’t have this genius idea and instead had to eat the overpriced garbage from the concession stand. I prefer to believe it’s the latter.
