Day 1: create 264 gallons of water (probably enough for a month)

Day 2: create a cubic meter of food (also probably enough for a month)

Day 3 to next rationing: spend thinking of all the awesome things I could create but end up getting overwhelmed and doing nothing instead

We wanted chickens so badly this year but with H5N1 spreading and owning 3 cats (which seem to have a high death rate from H5N1) I’m still not sure if it’s a great idea. If anyone can convince me though I would still happily get chickens.

Assuming I don’t immediately die (honestly would hope I did in that situation) I am very stubborn and would probably persist.

I have been into programming and electronics for almost my whole life (assuming I had any way to power them), love cooking, ferment and can foods all the time and have a good sized garden and a big grow tent with mushrooms in it. I also have several fish tanks with plants so I’m sure I could rig up some aquaponics system. And my wife is a nurse so I’m always learning a lot from her. Even built a backyard mini forge and kiln once because I was bored.

Just don’t make me kill any animals and I think I’ll be ok (unless the animals were injured and needed to be put down or in self defense). If someone else did all the hunting I’d happily do the butchering, though.

  • Are the ads injected in real-time or at the start of the video?

I assume it uses extra processing power to add them randomly for each user individually so if it was the latter would rapidly refreshing the page over and over again force them to completely rerun the process over again and slow their servers down? I guess I’m not entirely sure how this would work.

  • I was tossing so much produce before that I ended up choosing a dedicated container that I toss any veggies that are starting to expire or I know I will be too lazy to use and keep it in our freezer.

Once it fills up I make a big batch of vegetable stock and reduce what I won’t use that day to a thick paste with a lot of salt and the vegetable waste goes into the compost. Makes me feel way better about it and is pretty ADHD friendly (toss and forget then process it all at once).
