You need to have a sit down with him. He’s 16 so he should be able to be take in whatever you’ll say. Don’t degrade him, don’t talk down to him or anything.

But tell him that he has a future ahead of him, whatever it is but futures also have different pathways to choose from. The wrong futures are the kind of futures where no matter how much devotion, ambition and time spent it is to drive towards a particular future, it isn’t that path. And that’s okay because the world isn’t over for him yet. The only thing your son is going to regret the most, is not trying more things while he has the youth and the time to do so.

That is key, is to try many things and see what really sticks.

  • There has been at least more than a dozen occasions where a civil war could’ve and should’ve broken out. But it hasn’t. Nobody right now feels like they can afford to even fight one. The modern day civil war, is just people bickering back and forth with eachother on social media. They’re too lazy to get off their phones and asses to even fight for what they believe in.

That’s because the American people themselves are too afraid to rock the boat themselves to where they only see two political parties. They’re scared about what Bernie promised and they made fun of it. Like I remember back in 2016, people were going around like “HE’S GONNA GIVE US FREE INTERNET, GUYS! FREE INTERNET!” when he had wanted us to have a free market so we wouldn’t be tied up with the ISP monopoly.

Bernie knew very well that his only chance that he had was to run Democratic since, well, we hadn’t had an Independent candidate be president for over 170+ years in this country so you go figure. And the ironic thing is that Trump probably knew in the back of his mind that he had no shot of running as an independent either, so he went the Republican way and apparently got further with that than Bernie did as a Democrat since the DMC wanted their status-quo favorites to run.

  • I’m definitely banned permanently, I’m pretty sure I’ve got one of those evercookies somewhere that will make sure I stay banned, whether it’s outright or a shadow-ban.

And it is mainly because of having engaged with some of the lowest of the low, deformed individuals that somehow inhabit there untouched. It had gotten so bad to where they would bombard my posts when I was ranting about things like my shitty job and they just dogpile on you for no reason other than they can because the mods aren’t active enough.

I can’t imagine what it is like now being there and trying to criticize Musk or something since he’s apparently having a say now on it and Spez will bend over for his daddy.

Breakfast feels like I can live either with or without it at anytime. I just choose to acknowledge it at times as an excuse to have breakfast-related things like eggs, sausage links, oatmeal, coffee .etc

But there’s times where I’ve eaten other things right around the time of breakfast so it is just simply another meal.

  • I’m not making the jump to Linux fully.

I will and have done this thing where I will wait until Microsoft has enough of their head out of their ass to make another decent Windows version again, before I consider hopping to it. They’re due to make one sometime soon, don’t they? They’ll soon realize Windows 11 like 8, Vista and ME before it, was a stupid idea and do something nicer for Windows 12 or whatever they do with Windows next after 11. Windows 11 is already like 4 years old and one of its versions is going to expire next year. What will they do then?

Linux doesn’t have my full attention because I don’t think it’ll run everything I use for Windows. My user activity/behavior is slowing down to where I’m probably a casual user at best who does the bare minimum. Yet, there’s things I’d like to run without having to use third party software as a bridge to get to what I want to run as simple as it would if it was on Windows with a simple click or two. Oh and not to mention, hardware driver and support with Linux is one of my major concerns and I don’t think there’s a Linux driver for every piece of my hardware.

The reason it’s bad is because the political leaders don’t have a grasp about automation and has not made any effort to provide a safe net for people whose jobs got replaced. If UBI was a thing and automation was in full swing, I don’t think there would be a lot of negativity.

I think we’re seeing the fundamental effects of what happens when you have such a polarizing president destroy the fabric of what a united country was to have been. At least the EU does not have this problem as much because there’s clusters of other countries with their own government. The United States would systematically break if one or more states secedes. But then again, no lone state could function as their own country. Unless you’re California or Texas.
