And during covid?

And during covid?

Not sure if it still exists, but I used to have an extension called “make America kittens again” or something like that. It replaced pictures of T-rump with pictures of kittens/cats. Made browsing news much more pleasant, at least visually.
Yeah, that’s actually also why it’s no longer considered best practice to force regular password changes. But many places / websites /apps still do, obviously.

List sorting is somewhat based on what impact/influence a show has had on my life. For example, Parks & Rec is an amazing show AND was a big help during a tough time in my life. On the other hand, Chernobyl is also amazing, but wasn’t life changing for me personally. And LOST is great, but isn’t perfect and has its flaws, but the season 3 finale is one of the most emotional experiences I’ve ever had in relation to a tv show or movie. So it gets a relatively high spot.

Yeah, the alcohol kills pathogens, making beer safe to drink even if your water source is bad. And it can be stored for a long time without going bad.
At some point people must have discovered that “hey, if I mix water and grains in a certain way, and wait until it stops bubbling before I drink it, then it makes me feel good AND I don’t get diarrhea (or worse)!”

It’s attributed to George Orwell, but when I googled it it seems that it wasn’t actually him who said it… So who knows

“Truth is treason in an empire of lies”

Correct!

To be fair, he doesn’t have a title or any official position of power. His mother already had him when she met and later married the crown prince of Norway. But everyone in Norway knows who he is and he’s definitely very privileged, so he may have abused that fact…

Has there ever been anything like this in the history of the US? This many people protesting against a sitting president/administration?

My theory is that he’s so narcissistic that he genuinely believes every thought that comes into his mind is the truth.
Made me think of this Irish toast:
“Here’s to a long life, and a merry one
A quick death, and an easy one
A pretty girl, and an honest one
A cold beer - and another one”

My local newspaper stopped doing April Fools in 2017 due to the problem of fake news and discussions about media’s credibility.
According to Vivian he also paid extra to have them select only male embryos during the in vitro process, or something like that (not sure about the details and correct terminology) - and didn’t get what he paid for in Vivian’s case… Which I guess probably also contributed.
Protip: Don’t watch the documentary “Praying for Armageddon”…
