You’re high on mushrooms in the Viking age, the gods are all around you
Just got to the Lower Ward on my planscape: torment replay. The soundtrack is great, found a couple different paths to take by dying I didn’t even think about when I played it last time. Updated my journal.
Dante and John Milton did a lot to forming the modern mythology, along with the eternal punishment in hell fire Jesus talks about in gospels attributed to Mark and Matthew (some Sumerian and Greek myths probably contributed too to common conceptions):
Matt 18 8-9: 8 And if your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life crippled or lame than with two hands or two feet to be thrown into the eternal fire. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into the hell of fire.
Justin E Bell - All Gods from pillars of eternity
Trinitarian vs unitarian is a theological difference that requires different definitions and identities of god even if they both use the monotheist label. These are not compatible differences, you would have to believe contradictory beliefs to say one god identity exists and represents both trinitarian and unitarian theologies and is the same god. Just because they share the same name doesn’t mean they share the same properties.
The Christian bible disagrees with the Jewish bible unless you apply the Christian apologetic hermeneutics of someone who believes the Christian bible. Instead of saying they’re replacing theology they’re going to fulfill and expand and enhance, theology+. The anonymously written Christian gospels say Jesus is the messiah but the Jewish bible messianic prophecies say the messiah would be a king who rules on the throne of David that Jesus never did. The Christian bible gospels misquote from the Jewish bible that were not prophecies (born of a virgin vs young girl already pregnant, quoting Zekariah as Jeremiah, etc) because the gospel writers were using a Greek translated version instead of books originally written in Hebrew. It says you don’t need to follow the old law and prophets and sacrifices anymore when the Jewish bible says they need to be followed forever. Hell being eternal torture is a clear break from the legacy Jewish dogma.
I’m not educated on the Quran but I’m pretty sure neither Jews nor Christians believe the same theology at Muslims which are derived from their god beliefs, otherwise they would have included the Quran in their bibles too or have books in their dogma about the laws and teachings of Muhammad as a messiah. They can’t change the established dogma so they spin up a new religion to change the theology.
Bunch of heathens following Ben Reilly /s
The problem is the theology doesn’t match, there is no common god of Christians, Jews, and Muslims because Christians believe Jesus is god and divine and neither of the others do meaning their god’s identity is different. Christians and Jews believe the Quran contains lies, Muslims and Jews believe the Christian bible contains lies, and Christians and Muslims believe the Jewish bible contains lies. Hell even within each there are sects that believe different things about god, like Christians who believe they are saved by being chosen, by faith alone, or by faith and works. These are unreconcilable differences that change based on their beliefs about their god.
Religions when formed usually branch from an existing religion (e.g. Christianity started as a Jewish apocalyptic cult, Mormon branches from that, etc), but change the theology enough so that the old clergy/church is no longer valid wrt the new faith position.

Yep nailed it unlocked challenge mode: Antarctica
Planscape torment is in there if you want some old school crpg.
ScummVM is an old point and click adventure game engine with a ton of classics (Sam and max, day of the tentacle, Indiana Jones, etc).
lichess.org for free chess, puzzles and matches for different modes
Alphacross is pretty good for crosswords but it looks like they don’t let you add your own sources which is a bummer and a couple sources have circled letters in puzzles that don’t show up that can make it a little janky
And there’s always DOOM
stooge /stoo͞j/

The partner in a comedy team who feeds lines to the other comedian; a straight man.
One who allows oneself to be used for another’s profit or advantage; a puppet.
A stool pigeon.
It’s from a scene in Baby Driver where a guy misunderstands getting Michael Myers masks for a robbery, he gets Austin Powers masks from the comedian Michael Myers instead of the bleached William Shatner mask the killer Michael Myers wears in the Halloween movies
Where else am I supposed to keep it
Some from the past few years (let’s say 2015+) I enjoyed:
Jordan Peele’s Get Out is terrifying and good for a rewatch
Skinamarink - worked really well as a scare for some but not at all for others, check the premise before watching but I really got into it
Joe Bob did a tribute to Roger Corman that was really fun
Hellboy: the crooked man - not as big world ending stories as the other Hellboy movies, but the self contained stories were usually the most fun in the comics and this feels similar
A24 had some big titles that have a few scares but mostly go for more of a suspenseful dread, the witch, midsommar, heredity
Halloween ends was objectively terrible but I still enjoyed it, but I enjoyed most of the Halloween movies for either good low budget scares or the off the rails stories they wrap around Michael Myers
The dead don’t die and what we do in the shadows for some good horror comedy. Mayhem with directors commentary is hilarious.

Disclaimer: I have no horse in this race, I don’t hunt or care to start hunting and if recreational hunting is more detrimental to sustained ecosystems than other tactics then it should be replaced, I’m more concerned with using good, reliable information to form conclusions
The first and third link doesn’t appear to link to any citations or data to support it’s claims, so I think it’s fair to treat it as an option piece but I think we should have better standards when making decisions that can affect our stewardship of the world around us
The second is quite long but from what I can gather it is the best of the 4 in that it is based on a survey of peer reviewed research and makes a good thorough case against a subset of recreational hunting, specifically trophy hunting, as unethical.
The last link says overabundance is not a scientific term used in the scientific literature, but I can clearly see it is in many widely cited research papers (two usages, one in linguistics and one in biology)

And in the additional resources section there’s a few broken links and the closest I can find to a peer review article is a letter to the editor of a journal, not identified as a peer reviewed article and without public access to the methodology if it contains one

Being a public figure and using that platform to compare the imagined or self inflicted hardships of republicans in the US to Jewish people in the holocaust should get you fired unless you want to work with Nazi sympathisers.
