You can’t install homebrew (including unofficial emulators) on the Switch without being able to set up and boot into a hacked emuNAND (effectively a hacked backup copy of the Switch OS running off the microSD). Afaik you can’t do that without a launch edition Switch where you can short the controller pins to access the recovery “menu” and use that to push custom “hack” code to the Switch.
switch.hacks.guide is your friend if you want a reputable source on the current best method to get emuNAND set up. The current tool/custom OS/whatever the fuck they call it is named Atmosphere.
If you have an Android phone, you can try emulating those games using PPSSPP, and if it works at a decent speed (it probably will) you can pick up a phone mount for your controller of choice and a USB C to USB C cable to just slap the phone onto the top of a controller and then use your phone to emulate from.
Unless this is a dump of something that hasn’t been catalogued by one of the dump checking groups like nointro, there’s no advantage to even risking it.
You can search their database on their website, and you can find full romsets (collections of roms that match their known good file hashes) on archive.org.
And if it’s a romhack, wouldn’t you better serve your readers by pointing them to the safe downloads on archive.org, to the patch, and to tools to do it themselves?

Veracrypt encrypted psuedo-drive container, password protected, saved in a game’s install folder (to mask the size) with a filename that blends in. %appdata% could work too, but more likely to get purged by some overzealous cleanup script. Mount and unmount the vercrypt volume as needed. Won’t cause the risk of something showing up in the file browser search or recent files lists (or at least they won’t actually be able to open them from recent), and won’t immediately stand out if someone uses some sort of storage analyzer like WinDirStat. Just another big data file for some game. Could go sneakier and do a hidden volume in the container, or just encrypt an entire USB drive, but that’s probably overkill.

Beyond that, if you got yourself into a mess, you can get yourself out. Any time where you’re only fighting against yourself is a time where the odds are better in your favor than usual.
It’s will draining work to fight yourself into a better state, can be soul crushing, and it sure as hell isn’t fucking easy, but it is possible.
Self-care isn’t always giving yourself grace to fail, but it’s also not just beating yourself up for past failures. Survival is a perfectly ok goal. Then attempt for comfort and vague happiness. Then maybe you should consider trying to “make something of yourself”.
Very few of our names will live on past the people immediately surrounding us. That can be freeing if you can frame it the right way. Very few “make it”. Most just “get by”, and that’s fine.
While that’s not the nicest way to say it, I think accepting that is a huge part of growing up, IMO.
I am intelligent, and I am skilled in some things that are incredibly difficult to others such that those things are almost effortless to me. But I’m not the best. I’m definitely not the most intelligent by any fucking metric. There’s tons of people more skilled than me in what I’m good at. There’s countless more skilled than me in general (not just in my skillset), and even more than that skilled at what I’m not skilled at.
And that’s ok. I’m good enough.
The world is complicated, and the story that the most skilled always rise to the top, that so many gifted children hold onto through their youth, isn’t universally true. That can be depressing, but what I find important is this: There are countless people less skilled than you who were and are able to find a place to fit and a way to make it, and you never know when you’re going to find someone better than you that forces you to re-evaluate just how good you actually are at something. Take those as opportunities to learn.
Just be you. You can find a way to make it.

I’m not going to pay for porn, but there is a hell of a lot less new amatuer kink stuff now that everyone is trying to make money off of it rather than just posting it for the sake of exhibitionism.
It’s kind of surreal looking for specific types of stuff and finding new content from actual studios, as poorly cut down ads for some onlyfans profile, or just the same amatuer stuff from like a fucking decade ago.
Doesn’t help that a lot of the more reputable porn streaming sites have closed down normal user uploads. I entirely understand why it was needed, but the extra hurdle definitely makes things slant towards people ivested enough to try and make money from their content.
On top of that, I personally set my default youtube app to be newpipe, so if I’m just casually browsing lemmy or elsewhere I can click a youtube link and figure out what it is, even watch it if I want, without it effecting my normal account and watch history.
